You got to READ my man,.follow directions. If you would have read you would have known the correct vendor to flash, see what I'm saying?
I did read, I think this is a case of me reading too much. If I had just read the title instead of reading it all and flashed what was listed in the OP. I am sorry for not going through the whole thread with a fine tooth comb.

Don't worry mate, a part from that guy, here you will find people ready to help, starting by the developer!
Oh I'll help anyway I can, its what XDA is all about. However, unfortunately, its happening more and more where users don't want to read, don't want to do their due diligence, whether they're too lazy, I don't know why, but it happens alot....answers right in front of their face, in the op, plain as day, etc. But instead of making the slightest effort to find that info they are looking for, they auto post asking the question. Some senior members even agreed answering these people make the people answering also part of this problem. I hope you see what I'm saying. In this particular case, it appears this was not a person that does this, bec of that, i offer up My apologies, sorry @gavincm11 but I hope now, after explaining my self , you can see where I'm coming from.

Cheers

Apology not necessary. Thanks for reading and contributing to the forum, helping those of us who don't have the same experience.

I am having an issue where I am not getting my messages and emails unless I open the specific apps. What could be the issue and how can I fix this?
I would start by going into Settings > Apps and clearing the cache for Gmail and your messaging app, restart apps and/ or reboot and see if that helps. If not then uninstall/reinstall and see.

Well that would mean I would need to do that with all my apps then. It's the second time it's happening like this. After a fresh install of the ROM it works fine for a couple days and then it gets to this point where I have to open apps to be notified.

- All the features that were found in SimpleAosp 7.0 build, merged them all back.
- Cleaned up rom base
- Removed 'Navbar virtual keys' for now since it broke 'Now on tap'. I like the feature but no compromise on build stability. Will add it back once cm fixes it up.

Edit: Build is running good for me. Use 'NBD90X' vendor image for now until Google releases 7.1 factory images.
Enjoy :)
