No. I tried.

When starting the app performs a check to see if the device is rooted and if complies with Google security rules.
When it fails the check tells me to go ******* and doesn't work.

So there is only one way to don't use root at all. Or maybe find working version of Magisk that couldn't randomly restarting phone.
That leads me to some other question if it's possible to use Google Pay (not Play) with Magisk? I've tried some time ago with Magisk and failed.

Yes, I got Google Pay (not Play) on my S3. But I use TF Xtreme Rom with magisk and a Magisk module to bypass safetynet check (MagiskHidePropsConf). Search for the module name and you will find the right thread and a guide.

So I will try latest beta Magisk version (17.3) too and I will see if there will be still the problem with booting loop.
But seems to I can't install MagiskHidePropsConf module at beta Magisk release :( I install beta 17.3 Magisk with MagiskHidePropsConf module at the same time via TWRP and looks good. I mean that Magisk and module has installed fine.

Do you use any existing fingerprint to bypass safetynet check? Or what to do after install module? I try Improved hiding function but still has ctsProfile: false.

Not really. I just did hide Google Pay, the Google framjework services and that's it. Actually in my case just a reboot was needed to get it working. Did you encrypt the phone? Just as an idea.

Attached are the screenshots.

Meanwhile I did it other way. Install Magisk with module at the same time via TWRP and looks fine. Btw I choose fingerprint from the existing database that is built in module for other mobile device. Without any hiding. Everything looks good now. I can install Google Pay and pair with payment card as well ;)
Thanks for your opinion how is working with your options.

@Bernie_WCan you please look at MagiskHidePropsConf module configuration? I mean via some terminal after send props command? I use fingerprint from another device and got settings that you can see as a attachment.
