I removed the root app and kangvip tools so I can't tell you but I'm sure it does work. I'm not messing with the phone right now as I need it for work.

Ok. Thanks! KangVip tools has some nice features. If it had the Xposed module App Settings working as well, I might be more motivated to try it. For now I'm just sticking with stock Chinese primarily cause the updates come a little faster and the Chinese doesn't bother me.

But which "kangvip tools" do you mean? Surely it is not the KangViP advance menu, I know from the X2.
What tool do you mean and what would me miss?

KangVIP now integrates some root app into KangVIP Tools where if you remove the root app KangVIP tools no longer works.

I'm sorry but I cant remember if you flashd public and hw zip files then do a cache wipe. Then reboot.

If you want to get an idea of what I've tried to fix it,check my posts from the past day or two.
I'n no dev by any stretch,but if I figure out how to get it going,I'll look you up,would appreciate any hints/how-to's if you get rollin' again before I do.
Feel free to PM me anytime,preferably any evening after today,I've been at it after work all day & I'm burnt toast at this point..................

I have an idea of what we need, but we need to find someone that has a pure stock build on their phone that is rooted.

I ended up using FunkyHuawei since that's the only real way to restore our phones. It's at 98% so I'll let you know soon if it works or not.

It's working but you need to leave the root app installed or it won't work. I don't know why Kang would do something like that (the root app constantly pops up with ads) Such an intelligent group and they do stupid things like that.

Kangvip tools is an app in system/framework but the way it's coded into their root app is stupid. They also still haven't figured out how to make the boot.img not force encryption so users can backup their data in twrp.

Hmmm, I thought one of main reasons for rooting a phone was so that you could use a decent ad blocker! lol

ok, this is way. If the options stay, we'll be fine.
But the viper4android is integrated in KangVIP tools.
You mentioned that it doesn't work anymore.
Did it work when having KangVIP tools running?
This question can be answered by users who use your unmodified KangVIP from this thread.

Is there someone with MHA-L29C432B156 who can confirm stable running of AJ's KangVIP?
Is is necessary to restore oeminfo and cust after flash for this version?

Hey guys, the rom works great for me other than Maps. My market is spinning in different directions wildly. I tried calibration to no avail.

Maps is working fine for me, even when I start nav from the basement it locks on instantaneously.

The camera will go bye bye if you mess with your product partition. When you flash back to stock I recommend not touching that partition.

I need to get my hands on the stock rom for each device version so I can make some flashable zips to fix the issues you guys are having but I don't think I will as it seems like everyone would rather pay to fix it. Maybe I'll start charging too ?
