Would love to see some development on this phone. Been like 1.5 years now since I flashed my last phone.
btw anyone received the latest promised OTA? Saw 1 guy reply that he received it today. Just manually checked on mine and nothing.

I would never try method #1 described in the first post by @dreambo in this thread (that is post #4), after having tested on my skin that the ROM for the 4GB model doesn't fit the 6GB model.
I followed method #2 and it flawlessly worked both for the installation of Magisk 14.0 and for the upgrade to Magisk 15.1.

Would love to see some development on this phone. Been like 1.5 years now since I flashed my last phone.

Yeah, I'd love so see a TWRP recovery to be flashed and a LineageOS ROM for our Alphas.

I'm also waiting for the OTA update, but if it's true that someone received it, maybe it's only a matter of time. Let's cross our fingers.

Date ot the update is January, 5th 2018
Maybe we'll have to wait till this date?

I received the OTA update as well. It fixes the Camera sharpness, system stability and other system optimizations. I really like this update.

For curiosity's sake, do you have a 4GB RAM or a 6GB RAM Alpha?

I'm italian as well. I got the OTA today. My model is the 4GB one.

Incidentally, the update fixed a SafetyNet check. It removed my BusyBox. I was able to regain root by flashing Magisk zip from TWRP.

Thanks, mate. I own the 6GB model and I can only hope that Maze Mobile published (or is going to publish) this OTA update for it too, as they replied to me in their Facebook page days ago.

I am having the 4GB RAM Maze Alpha - the same as the person who replied to your comment earlier. However, this update really provides all system-round flexibility. I notice the speed of my Maze Alpha has improved when swiping, sliding, scrolling pages or apps at the icon drawers.

I hope those who are using the 6GB RAM version receive their OTA update soon so that they can also experience these improvements.

You should probably try with TWRP.

Unfortunately can't use TWRP as it's a phone i bought of ebay and the seller has left the PIN code on it and has ignored my emails to get the PIN. Tried sideloading twrp via adb but developer options must not be enabled as the device shows as unauthorised.

Any other tools available that will do a complete factory reset?

TWRP must be booted (not flashed) with fastboot, the device must be in fastboot mode.

Your other option is to reflash a stock rom with SP Flash tool.

I agree with N10A. I can't even be sure that it will solve your problem, but if any other attempt failed, flashing a stock ROM sounds to me as if it's your only hope.
Is your Alpha a 4GB a 6GB?

In the UK, and despite plenty of others having said they had it, no sign for me. I wish Maze really got their finger out and posted the bloody update file.
