On build 20161111 YouTube doesn't work. :(
Haven't got a clue what could be the issue, doe you have a logcat?

Hey @T_I :) I've been following this really closely. I've loaded up your last two 7.0 builds and both are working stupendous. Really looking forward to the 7.1 builds. Thanks a ton for taking the time to get this on our tabs.;)
I've tried several cm-14.1 builds, but they failed, until today. Just switched back to the cm-14.0 kernel and it boots. So cm-14.1 with cm-14.0 kernel works. (now I need to check why the 14.1 kernel is an issue) Will update OP and change project to cm-14.1. (latest security fixes are in there)

I will try CM14.1.
If YouTube still only shows a spinning circle, i'll get a logcat.

At least you should be able to get the logcat. (Found no major issues yet)

When it won't start, after the logcat, login, become root and turn selinux off (setenforce 0) and try again. When it works then, I'll have to check the selinux rules.

Indeed, camera not working, youtube having issues. Just checked. Could be the cm-14.0 kernnel I used in this cm-14.1 build. I will try a recompile with the cm-14.1 kernel tomorrow when I can find some time.

However, I just did a clean install of cm-14.1 and the rotate of the screen on lock is solved.

Hi,
I 'm running CM14.1 now.
When I run Spotify it will switch off wifi after a few minutes, so of cause Spotify stops.
I think it is a power save setting, but how can it be switched off?

Thanks,

Maybe you should talk to @RaymanFX, because his 7.0 doesn't have these problems.
I know, I fixed the camera issue. :D

Maybe you are missing a Commit or a hack?
Looks like it, but I need to figure out why I'm missing the commits. Diving into my build tree.

Edit: indeed, force sync of the build tree helped, doing final recompile, but first test shows working camera and youtube. (and the rotate on lock is still gone)

Ok, uploaded latest build, camera and youtube work.

I also found that the rotate-on-lock issue has been solved. This was an issue in CM core code and is confirmed.
However, to get rid of the bug, an advanced wipe + clean install is required together with a rebuild without restoring old device ID.
The question you get when first starting TB on a clean device with a backup on ext_sdcard, keep the new ID.

I can't explain it, but this is the behaviour I found. With the old ID the bug kept in place, both with a dirty and a clean flash. Clean install (after advanced wipe) with a new ID and the lockscreen adheres to the screen rotation set and doesn't rotate back on lock.

Installed 1117 - Runs nice and smooth ! :)

Thanks for your work!

(Did a clean but not advanced flash, so rotation glitch is still there - no big deal for me.)

I lost it after an advanced wipe (all except internal storage and sdcard wiped) followed by a clean install. AFterwards I jusr restored my wifi config (xml), rest was freshly installed. Can't think of a reason why restoring the device ID would cause the rotate to re-emerge.

I wasn't bothered by it as well, until I read that it was 'fixed' in T815 and @RaymanFX told me he didn't change code, it fixed itself. (Then I want to know how to reproduce)

I don't know.
I am not into the code, but I am having a hard time to believe that Rotation has anything to do with the Google ID.

I will try again, if I got some time.

LOL, well I wouldn't bang your head over it TOO much. It sounds like one of those things where it's something is causing it that you think shouldn't. :) The rom works good and if you find it you do and if you don't then keep an eye open for something in your normal course of working on the rom that might be the cause. Some of these little bugs are hell to find...my opinion. :D

Hey, I think I might have missed something when talking to you back then.
I actually did something to fix the rotation issues on cm-13.0:
https://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/149935/

That change is in cm-14.x right now (since the branch was updated in a linear fashion).

On top of that, I fixed the panel rotation in Android Nougat *again* (because Google changed the code):
https://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/161715/

Rotation has been fine for me on SM-T815 ever since.
I think I forgot about those when you asked me about it because I had my head buried in camcorder work.

Wow, this explains a lot, as I was looking in the gts2 code, not in the 'regular' cm tree. This also explains why it didn't work in my builds, my development tree was somehow detached from the cm repo. A complete rebuild of the development tree helped though. (I'm now even trying a build for T71x, just to see if my dirty build tree was the cause of those failures as well)

You're getting close, but still no cigar. Mic isn't working with 1711 build. Camera is working.

Camera is not working!

When taking a picture, any camera app FCs.

Video recording works, but without sound.

I can give you a Logcat later, if needed.
