Runs very nicely on my gPad too! Thanks a ton for this ROM!

Haven't noticed any bad bugs yet. I do notice some minors ones though; such as the "back-arrow" in the topleft corner not working in the settings etc. But other than that, it's pretty much buttery smooth. Android 7.0 feels good.

I am however increasingly craving for more customizations.... hoping updates to cm14 and cm14 for gpad will introduce more customizations options in the settings. That, or Xposed for Android 7.0 would be amazing -- but I guess that won't happen any time soon :{

Patience, my friend. This is only the first CM14 build for this device. Features will be added back over time, don't worry.

I'm having issues with root access. It is enabled in Developer Settings, but Helium Backup cannot get root access. I get a message saying "Checking Superuser..." with an activity spinner, but the prompt to allow root access never appears. I was able to get Titanium Backup to get root access, but it can't read all folders on the system despite having root. The latter may be an issue with TB, but I was able to give Helium app root access on CM13.

Only dealbreaking issue i have is, video playback stutters like hell. I tried MX Player, Mobo Player and BS Player. The files i have are all mkv or minimkv with at least 720p. None of them work at a pleaasurable level.

Went back to MM, because watching movies is somewhat important to me, but im gonna keep watchting the thread and hope i can fully move to N.

Does anyone have this "Automatic System Updates" engaged in Developer Options"? I do, and noted one modification that I know wasn't there before. Anyone noticed the option and used it?

Weird. I don't have any problems with video playback. Everything (MKV and AVI) plays smoothly. I use the MX Player Pro.

New build released

with dex preoptimization disabled to fix com.android.phone fc. That means slower boot times after wipe dalvik (or data). Still some features missing, but it's getting quite stable.

It is definitely slower to boot after installing the latest ROM. Hope there was a slight change in coding in this newest rom, as the 'fix' for the fc was fine on my end...but would be helpful for new installs to not have to delete a folder after installing which can be tricky to some.
All still good here and thanks to fefofifum! Maybe now will bring more installs!

Latest ROM includes something referred to as "blur effect". I've been looking around for a setting for that for a while now, but I can't for the life of me figure out what and where it is..? There was something inside security > lock screen settings, but enabling/disabling it made no difference at all. What am I doing wrong?

I did a clean flash and set up the tab as new device on first boot. I can only get like 10 fps on playback

I will flash again tonight and report back

Has anyone got the Blur Effect to work? I really want to use it, but can't make it work Is there something extra I need to install to get it working? ie a particular cm theme or something?

with dex preoptimization enabled again, updated widevine & adreno blobs, and fixed bootanimation jerkiness. Blur effect is still being worked on, so we have to wait until it works properly. And there won't be ota updates for now, manual installation is required.

Is there a way to make this ROM "wifi only" mode? I mean the v500 has no telephony capabilities, so it would make it much faster if there was a way to completely remove all the cellular stuff. Many thanks to fefifofum for this ROM

I noticed some issues in QuickPic since 1002 build. It seems like it has some problem with cache, like the thumbs are not saved correctly and it always have to recreate them.

I'm getting excellent battery life and my video playback is good, but I'm getting pronounced stuttering when scrolling in apps. It's most noticeable in XDA Labs, but also very noticeable in the Play Store, Chrome and Palabre (a feed reader app). Not sure if log cats would be useful here, so let me know if you would like me to provide them.
