It didn´t work.
I flashed the TWRP from OP without errors but the old TWRP is booting.
At the moment is the Flashable_SGP512_23.5.A.1.291_VMo_AU-NZ_by_kulvertti.zip installed. This Image has the TWRP from Z3.

It works!

I extracted the boot.img from ZIP and flahed ist.
Then i flashed TWRP.
After that, it was possible to flash the zip.

Castor Pure Nexus build 20170228 is working good. Nav bar fixed but couldn't find other changes.

Google keyboard keeps crashing in this build

I just flashed 2/28 pure nexus on castor windy with cache wipes. I cant see 5ghz networks.

Hey Guys... Today i found this wonderful topic about flashing the Xperia Z2 tablet (because i want to flash it to android 7).
But i have little knowledge of flashing an Android device.

So i did the steps in the very first post and the tablet is now starting in recovery mode, but what to do now?

I don't have any image file or what so ever to choose from to flash.
But when i restart the tablet now, i get the Sony logo and thats it....

Did i miss anything? I hope anyone can give me some steps how i can easily flash a new rom/image to the device, because i can't do anything now besides booting in recovery mode...

I'll try to copy the image to a SD card then. Hopefully i can do it from there.

Hahaha.. Very true! When you don't try, you never get anywhere...

So if i understand you correctly, i can install all those packages right after each other?

And i can't just download a full rom and only install that?
Because i don't really understand the OpenGApps package and what it's good for. I thought a normal rom would be enough.

Hi, I need help.
I flashed boot.img from ROM.zip and one of the TWRP.img's on my SGP511.
After removing cable I turn on my tablet and see only the SONY logo and that's it. I tried this several times but there is no pink LED flashing up. Whats wrong?

I've had that as well.... I believe the boot loader isn't unlocked.
Then you can't get into the recovery mode.

It's unlocked!
I fallowed this instructions before I flashed the recovery on my SGP511
Open the Contacts app. Click the menu button in the top right, Click Settings.
Long press (for about 5 seconds) somewhere in the empty space just above soft key bar, and then release your finger. A button named Enter service code will then appear in the same area (this may take a few tries).
Click Enter service code. A dialler will appear. Enter *#*#7378423#*#* in the dialler.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes,

Ok.. Well, in my case it was the bootloader, so thats what my first thought was.

Maybe try another boot.img or TWRP image?

It worked, I've just finished installing. I made a mistake by flashing the boot.img.
The first thing I just noticed is that I have no 5Ghz WiFi. 2.4Ghz is there.

That's weird I've got a white back arrow white circle and white square on my task bar at the bottom of the screen
