@bigsupersquid have u been able to use 4G on your A5 using cm12/13/14 rom??

I was able to use lte on cm13 and stock until February 2016 when my lte stopped working and never has since in spite of multiple service tickets with virgin mobile and a new sim card.

microg installation help

@bigsupersquid I am facing issues while installing microg.
I have enabled everything. But don't know how to enable network based location enabled. And also I couldn't sync my play store accounts. And black store app crashes when I'm try to search anything. I tried your steps to install those . I have enabled everything except location based network. I'm new to this.

Wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing the rom and try to do a clean flash

I have one question related to theming...
Since there is still no news regarding CMTE implementation, is there any possibility to get better substratum functioning in future builds?
Substratum devs mentioned android November update problem as a cause of malfunction in N7.1.1 and that they are waiting for Google to sort this out.
But at least one dev (@PerLycke - swift substratum themes) achieved to develop fully functional substratum themes...

Wipe /data without wiping /data/media
Dirty flashes (without wiping /data) often do that
So can flashing without wiping /system if you use gapps. Flashing latest gapps before first reboot instead of wiping system can cover that one

I know little to nothing about theming. But lineage gerrit has ongoing theme related patchwork. When they fix it may be my next build since this one is fine for me for now.

The A5 and A5DWG have the same specs, 99.9% same except the radio, one is single sim nd the othe is dual sim device but why it is written that the A5 supports LTE but the A5DWG don't???????? Plz tell me, I'm thinking to flash A5 rom on my phone and check if LTE works or not so plz suggest me a rom in which LTE works for A5

Cm13 and 14 both have lte. I personally don't anymore due to some device or service defect, but it's not a problem with the roms.
Doubtful you'll get lte functionality unless your carrier is cdma though. Even then, first sim only, probably won't even admit to having a second sim.

Install microg services core first. Drag icon to app info, permissions, allow all of them.
Install blank store. Drag icon to app info, permissions, allow all of them.
Open settings-apps-gear icon-permissions-Signature spoofing and allow microg and market
Install microg services framework
Install nlp backends (I use Mozilla/apple for location backends and nominatim for address lookup backend)
Open microg settings-nlp settings and enable all installed backends
Reboot
Open settings-accounts-Google account
Sign in
Open settings-apps-play account
Sign in to same account

Then you should be able to use blank store.
There is no built in calendar or contact sync. Those have to be manually extracted from gapps and put in system. People report a lot of issues trying to get those working in M or N. I don't use them and haven't tried.
Any apps that need play services should be not be installed until AFTER microg core.

Did you wipe /data (without wiping/data/media) when you installed?
If you didn't that could cause slow charging or short battery life.
If you did wipe data, have you installed many apps? Are you using apps which sync background data like Google apps (gapps) ?
I don't use my phone a whole lot... I have once now gotten over three days from one charge on this ROM without even putting it in airplane mode overnight.

I wiped data, system, dalvik, cache. It charge slow but long battery life.
When charge, i turn off wifi, 3g and use greenify to hibernate all 3rd app. But it say 6 hours to charge complete.
Two days ago, i flash cm13 rom by garak and have same problem.

I was also having that problem, using greenify and Nitro X Sprak mod solved it

Its easy to use opengapps so go for it rather than trying hard on microog
