Hey @rjcool1999 I followed what you said, clean flashed everything with an older version of twrp. This time twrp was able to restore to my stock without turning off and i was able to successfully boot into my phone! But then when i unplugged my usb cable the phone turned off. When i try turning it on, it gets stuck on HTC logo with the red writings below and turn offs. I can't even enter recovery mode :/ but can go to fastboot. Replugged the usb and connected my phone to my laptop and i was able to enter recovery mode again! Was able to boot too. This is really weird. I though it might be my phone had no charge. But it shows that it has around 95% of charge. Do you have any clue whats the issue? Should i try charging my phone to 100% and retry?

Never came across such situation, maybe some virus is there in your sdcard which is causing such issues

Sent from my Htc Desire 816 dual sim using XDA Labs

I think its the recovery causing the issue and some how not formatting properly. Is there any way i can go back to stock recovery?
I don't have my SD card inserted. Works fine on FastBoot. Just recovery won't turn on without keeping my phone connected to a laptop/charger.

For getting back to stock recovery you need the stock recovery.img, you can try philz or cyanogen recovery too

Going back to stock might be a good idea, then unlock again and reflash twrp and lineage.
Be aware the stock ruu will format the internal storage including internal SD.
Instructions and link to the ruu in the first post of the cm13 thread.

Great ,816 will get a a new build soon!
Will you build compatibility with MHL?That will be great:good::good:
MHL really iffy, and unlikely if it was broken in cm14.

Try flashing twrp v3.0.2 and then lineage rom.
Don't restore backup

I know abt this rom bt this is for the international variant of the 816, maybe @bigsupersquid will be able to enable dual sim
Radio(RIL) is not supported for other models in this rom.

I got the ROM up and running just great. Mobile data, Bluetooth and WiFi work great on my virgin mobile version of the phone. My problem is GPS. It works but it doesn't track where my location accurately and in Waze, it says no GPS showing approximate location. Any advice on how to resolve this?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I was having problems with getting a gps signal, and this troubleshooting suggestion by bigsupersquid worked perfectly:

Make a backup of your current setup.
Use your stock backup, and get a gps lock in Google maps. Get a prl and profile update while it's on stock, too.
Them restore your backup and it should be ok.
If you've not got stock backup you can backup your internal storage somehow and use the .img file linked in the cm13 thread OP. You've got to go through a bunch of rigamarole like relocking the bootloader, and unlocking it again, reflashing recovery, all that jazz.
After getting the gps lock, the prl update, and the profile update - I had to use fwul to get the twrp recovery back up and running. But once I restored the backup with TWRP everything worked perfectly.
