I love all the small but lovely tweaks one can do, but have been unable to:
1. to change the colour of the status bar battery indicator and percentage.
2. add a scrolling message to the lockscreen.
are they possible?

Hi is there a step by step guide to installing please

First u need a unlocked bootloader and twrp recovery.
Then download the ROM and gapps prefer opengapps arm64 nano ( I use micro ) .
Then flash twrp. Boot it by pressing power + volume - when phone off. Then in twrp go to wipe. Select wipe system data cache and slide to confirm. Then go back. Click on install . select the ROM then again install more zip select gapps then swipe to confirm. Wait to finish then click reboot system.
