After having a quick look at your log file, I cannot find any fatal or significant error which point me to a rom problem. I would guess, it has something to do with the apps you have installed after flashing the rom. Might be not the right gapps? And or something related to magisk? I would suggest to do a new, fresh and clean installation of the rom again and reboot and setup the device without any gapps, no additional apps and any backup restores, to see whether device boots up normal and is running without problems. Then you can install your apps step by step to check which of them or which paket is causing problems.

Problem definitely seemed to occur after Gapps install even with pico. I was on the verge of giving up, when I came across a post in another thread recommending wiping internal data as well. With nothing to lose (sanity was only holding on by a thread anyway) I backed up what I wanted from internal storage Did a complete wipe including internal storage and started with a fresh install of Final, added pico Gapps and so far it seems stable. So fingers crossed . Thanks for taking the time to look through the log @rodman01 appreciate it.

If I do a clean flash of a ROM (i.e. always when changing - not updating - a ROM) I always wipe dalvik, cache, system, data and internal memory. The data I want to maintain are always on external storage. Any anyway, as @rodman01 well knows, I personally don't use GApps or anything else by Google at all (only exception is the by Setalphia modified Play Store). Instead I use microG (powered by Nanodroid). If interested, long time ago I posted my experiences here; commencing at the time when Nanodroid wasn't yet available until November last year.
EDIT: Just by personal interest, do you have anything to do with aviation?

Sorry Oswald, thought I'd replied a couple of days ago but must have forgotten to hit submit.
I did come across one of your posts describing your lack of GApps and did think I should have a look at that as I'm not a great fan of Google.
As for aviation, used to , was a flying instructor but those days are behind me now. Just keep the email out of sentiment and apathy at the thought of changing it.

WORKS GREAT. for at least more than a year. Every thing is working, have very minimal issues.
Was rooted and now using Magisk latest versions, when updates available. Presently on v20.4. Manager 7.5.1. No issues. But Android 7.1 has a minor issue with moving apps to extSD card from phone memory, using AppMgr 3 for years from Android v4.4 .
I have 144 apps with no issues. But not much of the 16 GB Internal memory left.
I have formatted a 2nd partition on extSD card and tried other apps.to move apps without success. Apparently Android created this problem in version 7, but fixed it in version 8 onwards.
But have used sucessfully on Oreo and Pie on my S8 with AppMgr 3 to move apps to extSD with no issues.
Anyway if I can update to your latest version of Pie on i9305T, problem solved.

Don't expect too much from this test pie. Development of that rom version for that device is limited and I doubt that apps move to sd is working proper.

TWRP factory reset showed failed to mount efs error which was new to me.
I had backed up EFS using EFSPro in 2015 so after searching threads here I managed to fix and successfully installed this rom.
I've included my quick summary notes here in case it helps anyone.

Yes you shouldn't use a i9305 rom for a i9300. If you don't brick it probably completely doing it so, you will have most certainly issues.
There is one or maybe more RR roms for i9300 too in the related device section. So search for it there and don't make experiments.
OMG! Hello whoever is still here.... I dug out my old S3 a few weeks ago as my note 4 died. I just thought i'd have a look here and i'm surprised that there is still somewhat development going for this truly amazing but ancient device!
It is still running perfect to this day and it's going to be my daily driver for a while. AND best of all it's running this very ROM! This was and always will be the best ROM for the 9305.

Hey I Just bought very cheap galaxy s3 (i9305) i'm on stock 4.4.4 anyway I want to ask is it possible to flash this rr build v5.8.5 or i should try lower version and update to 5.8.5? I saw some posts about modem or that afer flashing it sim card is not detected. Also is there any kernel for this rom? Forgive me my poor english and sorry if i wrote question here i know there is other thread for q&a?
Hi Danny, with my experience with this ROM i'd recommend starting at a lower version and updating to the final build. I had several no SIM card detected simply flashing this build. Also lookout for bug with teamWin recovery, I think the latest 3.0.0.1 results in error 7 or error 25. But by flashing early builds it's a okay.
Yes I started from stock 4.4.4 then flashed twrp I can't exactly say which one but one of the older then resurrection remix 5.8.3->updated to 5.8.5 final from 2017 and finally-> 5.8.5 from 2019 as @Oswald Boelcke told me. I didn't have any problems with sim, my baseband was xxufoa1 and is now everything is working, 0 reboots. Yeah and also i flashed stratonz-boeffla kernel with settings that Oswald mentioned, if someone in 2020 will be new buyer of galaxy s3 lte I suggest to search the forum, you can find everything instead of writing here and thanks to @rodman01 he deserves REALLY big cup of coffee or anything else ; )). Anyway thank you for answer @stepnage

Sammy version was originally "born", because some users had problems with ril and mobile data/3G, as well as gps with the normal version. On sammy versions problems had been gone. Now its "only" a variant, which "causes" minor changes, in my opinion. The screen colors are a bit different and hwc and/or other media related things are different. The touch behavior in unlocking the lockscreen, as well as in recents and also during swiping notifications away, is different.
General Differences:
Sammy versions are build with some other repos, mostly or more based on original Samsung drivers and other blobs. Therefore I am using the original nameless repos, with some minor changes in sepolicy and ril. Differences by user experiences / opinions (Marshmallow Versions):
- battery charging time on normal version seems to be (much? - to be evaluated) longer than with RR v5.7.2 Sammy.

New version is ready and uploaded. Based on today RR 7.1.2 sources.
Its compiled with stratonz boeffla kernel, which is set to permissive by default.
All credits go to @stratonz press his thanks button please.
But:
The inbuild rom kernel is not 100% the same as his stand alone. So the boeffla config app is not working with the kernel coming with the rom. If you really need to tweak the kernel, please use stratonz stand alone kernel and flash it on top.
Please do a clean and new flash and use newest open gapps. Apps restore via google play had not worked for me. But with banks gapps the setup assistant crashed.
First boot will take a bit, so please be patient and drink some coffees.....
