Maybe because Oreo is a battery drain and Android P has ugly UI? 7.1.2 with OMS is always worth a flash in my case
Meh. To be honest I did never see a difference between Lineage 7.1.2 and 8.1. Used both for a long time now. Perhaps it's because I always used them with some well maintained custom kernel, not a 3 years old Linux based kernel that came with Lineage OS. Who knows? Either way newer isn't always better but as I experienced 8.1 Oreo is more stable than 7.1.2 and faster. Dunno about 9. It's beta according to my knowledge.

Obviously it's all down to user preference. Oreo more stable than nougat? What you smokin?! As for the battery pfft, Oreo is notorious for killing ones battery. Plus I'm sure if what your saying is true then why would all these devs still work on the nougat? Because it's absolutely fantastic and reliable. Truth is my favorite current rom is Aoscp 8.1 with kud kernel. As for this rom, it's brilliant dev. Vanilla los with oms is hard to beat. It has a few extra settings which I really like also

I wouldn't say it's quite as fast/smooth as Lilbinx los but that's to be expected considering this the first build?

If I were to recommend a rom with oms it wouldn't be this one as its early. I'm talking more about nougat roms. If you want a good rom with oms I would say Aosip by Adesh. Advanced Los 14.1 had oms implemented and was probably the best nougat rom with oms. But he's dropped the oms for now and is working on other things (still 14.1)
