I've found the issue causing tethering not to work, I'll try it tomorrow.
RPF needs to be enabled in our kernel.

Hi,
I have problem with the Raiffeisen bank application, the last build I can use is 14.1-20161128 with android 7.1, with all the next builds including android 7.1.1, application can't build up secure connection to bank. In time of reinstall and activation I receive information that application is out of date and I have to upgrade it (but it is last one). I checked factory reset and fresh flash, but still the same. Do you have any idea? Thanks.

Could be a long shot but did you give your app all the permissions? I have observed some apps were not fully functional as Nougat has changed something in permission settings and many apps don't recognize that they don't have permission to do a certain task and they don't have implemented system to prompt the user for additional permissions.

Thanks for the answer, I checked the application permissions with 7.1, and it is the same as 7.1.1, but it does not work.

I would request developers to enable automatic call recording. I googled and found it's just a matter of adding one line of the code before compiling. I really don't care if it's legal or not in certain countries. Hell with legalities. Today I lost quite a bit finance info over call which I thought I was recording but as it turned out I wasn't.
And even if recording is automatically enabled it can be manually disabled too. I'm sure many fellow users will agree about the call recording. We can have a poll on that if needed.

Posting you had soft reboots without last_kmsg log is not useful, you have to post that.

Fix: Tethering should now work fine

Fix: Headset volume buttons.
 This has been an issue since CM 12.1.
 I've adjusted threshold for "Volume Down" headset button detection and
 buttons seem to be finally working properly (tested with my Xiaomi hybrid iem headset).

Fix: Physical display panel size detection
 I've added our display panel size dimensions to DT in our kernel.
 Apps (such as Google Cardboard) now detect proper screen size (5.98").

Various other stuff not worth mentioning.
Hopefully I didn't forgot anything important that would break some other functionality.

Oh crap, I knew I forgot something... The permissions of touchscreen sysfs nodes need to be set in ramdisk...
I'll fix that in the next build

EDIT: I'm making new build r8 now so it'll probably be up within 2 hours
EDIT2: DT2W fixed, link in OP updated.

On a side note, CM would be dead after 31st Dec, planning for AOSP??
