Alright, then i will wait and not go back to stock ;)
I'll try to reinstall EMUI B122 on my device and then I'll check what is wrong on Installation Instruction .

Thanks guys for your feedback :eek:

I'll let you to know very soon ... :)
I have a emmc device, it can be the problem... Did you flash the supersu zip?

Did a test with/without supersu : same result (and I have the error during vendor flashing too)

Thanks

The red line into TWRP after vendor was flashed ( E:unknown command []] ) is not a issue - So please do not take it into account :)

Ohh... thanks about your info about "emmc" storage - the issue seems to be from here as I have a UFS device !

EDIT :

Our dear developer @OldDroid already added a stuff in his TWRP to check Internal Storage partition, and he has already told me to use this stuff on RROS kernel ... but it seems I forgot ... Sorry guys ... I'll add right now and RROS will be re-uploaded !

I think eMMC/UFS is the center of the problem because all the install process went fine, it comes when booting.

Avec plaisir ;)

@surdu_petru, is HWC also disabled for this ROM?

Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
Yes, but as there is no code source from Huawei/Honor for this stuff we can't properly enabled ... also does not seem to affect in a very serious way any custom ROMs - indeed a properly HWC implementation could help us a bit - but for now this lack does not seem to be noticeable :)

Please, can you confirm if after flashed this boot.zip via TWRP device successfully boot on RROS 7.1.2 ? Thanks !

This zip must be installed after all steps from Installation Instruction on the OP was already done !

But you are using the recently released Honor 8 Pro sources right?

I flashed it after the ROM and Open GApps but my H8pro still stuck on "Your device is booting now" :crying:

Yes, you can check OpenKirin github :)

Please, install this new boot.zip via TWRP ( right now - don't need to follow again the OP Installation ) and post here :

* adb shell getprop > getprop.txt
* adb reboot device
* adb shell logcat > log.txt
( please apply the next command in about 30 seconds )

* adb reboot device
* adb shell ls -l dev/block/
Thanks !

Please, all the logs must be taken after boot.zip was flashed and device tried to boot on RROS 7.1.2 and NOT on TWRP nor on stock EMUI !

Thanks !

Also would be good if you can also post this info :

* adb shell ls -l dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/

On bootscreen adb commands were not able to run, so I had to take those logs in TWRP right after i tried to boot.

Yes, adb is here with the last boot.zip ... If you do not have a functional adb, it looks like you made a mistake somewhere :)

EDIT :

Just checked once again and YES ... you are right, thanks :)

BTW, the issue was fixed so a new version of RROS will be uploaded !
