I'm currently on Lineage 15.1. If I want to return to Nougat with SlimRom are there any extra steps I need to do before wiping, formatting, and flashing SlimRom and Gapps?

Tks.

I will try slim 2.0 with beans gapps next.

Did u install root? If so, did u use the one posted at leanage or Super Su? Or something else?
Ok you were right, I was able to proceed using beans gapps. Its up and running now. I have two nexus 9. So I will do one in Slimrom 2.0 and the other with lineage 14.1 and see which I prefer after a few weeks.

Also, I read somewhere that nexus 9's data is f2fs originally, so I formatted data to f2fs in recovery.

Thank you the information. For now, nexus 9 seems really snappy!!! and im a happy man

the whole world is my home ?
agree...Los14.1 is still being updated, but Slim 2.0 works much better fast & stable than Los on my device
I do not change slim for no reason yet, since it operates without problems (and with good battery management)
sry for english

unfortunately the development for our device is over(I think)
(I meant, the official support from any rom)
In 8.1 there is the known HW problem etc..
yes i use Fire Ice kernel and works better than ElementalX on my device

_So, we stay in Slim stable 2.0, it's the best rom for N9

GPS not working, is that normal or is it my device?

EDIT: total nonsense. GPS works perfectly! Very useful for navigating in car.

Hello all, can't find any step by step instructions, please, help me install the ROM. I'm on stock 7.1.1 LTE, unlocked bootloader, Usb-host's modified TWRP, supersu rooted, Fire-ice kernel, disabled forced encryption with Fed-patcher. Please give instructions how to flash this ROM. Also what kernel and GAPPS are recommended? Thanks in advance!

All done! As far as I was on latest stock, I didn't flash bootloader and vendor, just made a full wipe, then flashed ROM, open GAPPS nano, and Fire-ice kerner, everything works fine so far! Huge thanks to devs!

Hi there.

So far I love the Slim ROM, but used Beans GApps and now Google Play Services drain my device in no time. Can I just flash another GApps or do I need to remove anything first? And if so, how?

Wipe system, then reflash ROM and gapps.
You might want to make sure to remove any updates that any gapps have gotten. So only the original system app remains (just for any Google apps I mean.)
Have you tried clearing data and cache for Google play services?

Thank you, I thought maybe I could go without flashing the ROM again.
Yes I cleared data and cache multiple times, it also wasn't a problem from the beginning but every "standard" solution so far failed to work for me.

You can dirty flash the ROM (no data wipe) just wipe system first. All of your settings and data will stay.

Slim 7.1.2 is still the most stable rom for Nexus9

screenshots from benchmark with stock kernel 138232 ?

Agreed. Have tried them all and other than vartoms 32 bit ROM this is the smoothest 7.1.2 going. Vartoms ROM unfortunately eats my battery :(
