I installed this ROM the other day and it's working great - thanks for your work on it.

One question... I don't have a Root menu item in the Developer menu. Is this normal? Should I root using SuperSU instead?

We don't include root since it breaks SafetyNet (so some apps won't work). You can flash root zips. Personally recommend magisk

If anyone else has this problem, I solved the problem by "resetting all application defaults"

**edit
Thought this solved it, but notifications are not showing again

When I flash my n9 with slim-flounder 7.1.2 beta build 25 and opengapps arm64 7.1 nano, the setup wizard crashes when I click on 'setup as new' or 'copy your data'.

Does anyone else experience this?

This isn't a rom problem, more likely service outage on your area. I use flounder daily and notification sync (calendar, reminders etc) work as expected.

Nope, did someone write about something similar in the G+ of SlimRom?
Yup. Didn't get a chance to investigate yesterday to una to dl latest opengapps. Might have an idea of what it could be, if so tomorrow's weekly should solve it.

That would be great and I'll definitely try the new weekly.

In the meantime I've also tried slim-flounder 7.1.2 beta build 0.20, which also made the setup wizard crash. slim-flounder 7.1.1 alpha build 0.7 did not have the bug, I could successfully take that build thru the setup wizard.

Cheers!

Just update to Slim7 BETA 0.27 and got an error on boot:

"Android System
Wrong vendor image detected. The required vendor image for this ROM is N9F27C. Please flash the matching vendor image to remove this message and ensure your system will be working reliably."

Going to try to extract the vendor image from the Google OTA download site and see if that fixes it.

Why would it? I mean I always keep an eye on their trees see if they get anything I'll need but no, in general shouldn't affect one with the other

Thanks for the reply. I thought that perhaps now their updates might become better and more extensive and by extension Slim would too?
