I agree with everything you just said.
@SJR (Sam) - if you can't be the official LOS maintainer (for whatever non-technical reason), would you be willing to be an unofficial maintainer for LOS 14.1? I also would be very happy with a monthly build. The existance of LOS for this phone was my reason for buying it in the first place.
But I don't want to hang around here begging for someone to post a build every time there is a new bug or security problem in Android.

If you want me to make unofficial builds weekly in a separate thread for it, thumbs up this post or PM me or something. I could do that for you guys just need to know before I start off in other projects and those become priority.

For those who wanted the Official LineageOS support, I am greatly sorry! Nobody in the Moto telegram group wants me around and I get all my stuff rejected from them so I guess @vache will do official LOS himself if he decides to. Unless something changes which, from the Telegram group, is very unlikely (they hate me) then I may be back but I'm only doing builds for myself after this...

What do you mean you get all your stuff rejected? Sending emails is not contribution. You bring nothing to the table and tbh most people were perfectly happy with the way things have been. Disappear. Stop stirring up drama. When you have some code and bug fixes to contribute then come act like you have done something beneficial.

the only thing I plan on doing here is releasing weekly builds for those that want them. I get it, you all were working on the backend, but some people were slightly annoyed at the fact that the threads were not being informed or updated. and for the drama, you guys kept it going after I left. Enough said from everyone, moving on...

Some people care about regular builds. Just look at the last dozen posts here.

Not everyone is able to build themselves, or the time. 10 years ago I could build X11, but chose not to spend 12+ hours doing so.

Never mind what a horrible platform Telegram is for development. Mailing lists and newsgroups were better.

Amazing dev work that I cannot see and cannot use is worth exactly nothing to me.

I'd rather have someone taking credit for builds he didn't contribute to (not that I saw @SJR (Sam) doing that) than no builds at all, thank you.
