I see. That's a pitty.

Nope (maybe Oreo / 8.0 / LOS 15)
That would be fine as well! Actually it will be more important to have the most recent version except for any version.

Finding someone both willing and accepted on obscure Telegram groups to be the official maintainer.
Just out of curiosity, why are they obscure and why would anyone supporting the device would need to care about Telegram groups?

Because I only heard about them a few posts ago. Ask @SJR (Sam) for details if you are curious ;)
Apparently that's where the "devs" live and decide in secret sessions who is worthy and who isn't. Maybe there are special robes and handshakes as well, I don't know.

Several developers got tired of non-devs demanding/complaining on XDA.

So they took their toys somewhere else.

Look around. You see very little development discussion here anymore.

As for official status, that's up to the top level maintainers for a given ROM like always. It's just they now use Telegram for all their discussions.

Enjoy. ;)

PS:-I'll make sure you get your weekly builds from now on. and BTW thank you all for your awesome support. I'm amazed.
Thanks again, just flashed. I noticed that this release still only has the October security patches. Is there a reason the November updates haven't been included yet?

Hello guys, now that I have make sure you guys will receive your weekly builds I expect 2 things from you.

1.No "Official" tag discussion, reason is why lineage expects the maintainer to be atleast capable to know about few things like how gerrit and git works, authorship etc. So please you know who can be capable for that. Plz avoild discussion on this thing.

2.Plz leave all the past things and start to make this thread more cleaner and welcomeable for newbiews.

If I see more off topic and nonsense posts I'll have to call the moderators. Thanks :)

To be quite honest, XDA sucks for these discussions anyway.
Each ROM should have its own category and threads should be below that. With the option of read-only threads (posting only for selected users) for developer discussions.

The current scheme only leads to threads with hundred of pages (like this one) with the relevant info (hopefully) on the first page and off- and ontopic discussions mixed so hard only people that read the thread from the start understand anything. So they just ask the same questions again (and I can't blame them).

Being a dev myself I have to say that shutting out your customers and users is never a good thing, as annoying as they can get sometimes ;)

Right, sorry. I'll shut up now ;)

Well, it's part how XDA set stuff up. But more related to the influx of users on what should be developer threads.

They tried with the Q&A threads, but never really enforced it.

I'm guilty too, but mostly because it's hard for a user to move another user's question to the other thread and ensure they will see the change. Even worse when a dozen others already responded in the wring thread.

I'd love to read the actually development stuff. I might learn something. I read the Linux kernel list for years w/o posting and learned a lot about parts of the kernel I was interested in. Only then was I in a position to comment on any code or work on bugs I found.

question stable?

Guys

Slightly confused why original post hasn't been updated with latest build# - I see fAIyaZ is posting more recent builds in posts to the thread, but would be easier to find from there like other ROMs vs digging in the threads for weekly..

Thanks

RAM consumption

Noticed on the osprey 14.1 build by Alberto it takes up around 380MB on 1MB osprey Moto G 2015. With this build I see it takes up about 700MB. Any reason for that ? I used disable services to reduce that down, but was just curious

mono mic recording

hi I noticed that on this Rom i can just record with a mono mic configuration, while on RR and stock I had stereo capability
is there a tweak (ikn, maybe in build.prop) to enable stereo?
thanks

I can't seem to get weather on the lockscreen. I setup 4 providers (weather underground, open weather map, yahoo, and chronus) with api keys and no matter which one I choose, it doesn't show up on the lockscreen. Am I missing something?

My setup :
Moto G5 Plus
Lineage 14.1
ElementalX 1.16
Magisk 14.0 with safetynet fix

*happy flashing*

its used for video capture as well, so should be able to record stereo
Those 2 mics wouldn't be stereo the way a phone is typically held.

Even then, the audio path likely only allow one channel to be saved. Certainly unlikely to actually route the 2 mics to separate channels (which would be left and which would be right?)
