Hi there,

I installed the ROM and so far it is absolutely stunning!

But I ran into a small issue at the beginning:
After a clean ROM and "gapps stock" installation there was no keyboard app installed. So I was not able to log into my gmail account for example. Is this on purpose?
I could simply fix that by downloading the gboard apk and installing it via "enable unknown sources".

But now I got a serious issue:
I need to create a second user account (for my wife). But during the setup process I have to enter a name for this account, but the keyboard app won't open (it behaves as if there is no keyboard app installed, just like after the clean installation). So I am not able to create a second user account which is really annoying.

I wonder what I can do about it? Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:
Nevermind! I found out that the installation of gapps didn' finish successfully the first time. After reinstalling everything again, it works perfectly now.

Yes, RR is lineageOS based so it always has the latest changes
There is no proper RR theme engine, for theming install substratum and you will see a new menu in settings
Camera works fine but can be buggy sometimes, same thing as Lineage.

Interestingly enough I just tried to use my camera for the first time since moving to this ROM and it doesn't work. Always says it can't connect to the camera.

Wth my Galaxy tab pro 10.1 no problem. Works nice.

Rom works great - everything is nice and quick. The only modification I did was to the "build.prop" in order for the screen to rotate when tablet is locked.

Of note, switched over from the LD OS because battery percentage when charging (while tablet was off) was not displaying.

1. Locate "build.prop" in....... /system .......using any file explore (you will need to be rooted)

2. Open the file with editing privileges and at the bottom add the following lines

log.tag.launcher_force_rotate=VERBOSE
lockscreen.rot_override=true

3. Save your edit and reboot

Its really, really good. I usually get around 8-10 hours of battery time and around 1 day of idle time. (with location turned off)

Battery life is good in general use but with games down very quickly (at least it happened to me).

I have always used OpenGapps without any problem. Just make sure to choose the 32-bit Arm-version.

Sound Issues

After isntaling this rom, i have bad experience with a sound everywhere, youtube, tunein and so on. The sound is blasted. First when i pull down the volume to 50% i get normal sounds., Had anyone had similar problems?

same problem. Best thing you can do is install viper android. Have it lower to about 30 percent down using the settings and use less bass settings.

Wonderful Rom.... thanks a lot. One serious issues though. Printing with HP or Samsung Plugin is not working . During Plugin setup the HP Printer is available - but when i try to print plugin says: Printer is currently not available. - but Printer is available through the Browser IP -adr

I wasn't paying attention, and I installed the "unrooted" version. Now I lost root. If I install one of the versions that doesn't say "unrooted", will that give me root?

Great ROM

Had to use Kingroot since the USB wouldn't register when I plugged it into my PC, but after running KR 2x, I was able to secure root, then install TWRP 3.0.2, and then (eventually) flash the 110317 ROM and OpenGapps stock package, and about 5 minutes later- voila!

Of course, I made a mistake at first. I booted into the tablet right after I installed TWRP and started the setup process so the first time I booted back into TWRP and tried to flash the ROM, I got an error about an incompatible build. But, after a quick wipe and reset, and staying in TWRP to go right to the flash menu, it was smooth sailing.

Thanks for your work...and I can even watch Hulu on this tablet now...:laugh:
