Nevermind... was looking at the wrong download link. Thought it was broken but that is any older version.

I know this is an older thread. But I had to say, this ROM is the Best, fastest, most customizable version I've seen. I've loved RR in the past. But you guys have outdone yourself. Very good!

Teclast t10 with 64 GB storage and 4GB of RAM. It is a chinese budget tablet but till now it's a very good surprise.

Thanks. Was actually looking at that one myself as rooting was finally available, but wasn't sure about battery life.
The Yoga Tab 3 Plus is the current replacement leader, although the SM-T520 is still going strong now that I found a resonable Bluetooth headset to replace the wired one (bad headphone jack = no left channel)

The 2 GB RAM in this device is a real limitation these days. Also, the exynos processor isn't anything to write home about either. The screen is great though -- I like to use this tablet for viewing pictures and watching video. Anything more demanding causes it to get laggy for me, with occasional random reboots.

Well battery is way correct. 6/7 hours on watching YouTube for example with mid brightness level, the CPU is great, and yes the 4 GB of RAM makes the usage comfortable. As I said, I was expecting some problems with this device as I got it for 160 euros, but, a part from some minor software issues, it behaves like a high end tablet.

No reboots, but concur about the SM-T520 internal memory. I have had to move all available apps to the sdCard due to lack of internal storage.

I have this problem... View attachment 4027550

When I push "Activate this device administrator" nothing happens
What could be the problem?

1. Apps such as Blue light filter apps constantly appear on the top of your screen thus breaking some of the on screen functionalities. Try disabling display over other apps permission of such apps and you should be fine. If you don't know which apps to disable, first enable show system apps and then disable all apps.

Smart Pixels feature under Settings ->Configurations -> Interface -> Smart Pixels , try disabling that too and you will be able to toggle device admins as well as accessiblity of apps.

4. If Accessibility for some apps are on then try disabling them first.

5. Uninstalling the anti-virus helps sometimes.

Hope it helps.

Any known problems w/RR, messanging apps, and builtin speakers?

I'm trying to resurrect our family tablet SM-T520. At first attempt I used LOS 14.1 and ran into a few problems with that:

  • Skype, Viber do not recognize the tablet's builtin speakers. Plugged in headphones are recognized properly.
  • When connected to a TV with an MHL/HDMI cable, the sound is not routed to the TV, but to the tablet's speakers.

Has anybody using RR on SM-T520 seen such problems or can anybody confirm that above problems do not occur on SM-T520?

Thanks!

I was using RR for a while and loved it. After a while I started getting random crashes and reboots. Now it sticks in boot loops or "optimizing apps" every time I power on the tablet. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Hi,
I will try to, I actually moved to another city and my house has a very bad connection! As I have to re-download the whole 30Go of source code, it's a pain!
So it's a time question, but when I will have better connection and more time, I will release an update for the ROM. I hope within a week or two, also, when kernel & RR will make new Oreo branch , I'll be releasing it.

New build is available :) Enjoy !
