This versions are Resurrection remix or Lineageos?. I suppose Resurrection.
Someone tried Lineageos?. What's different about Resurrection?.

I have tried Lineage OS 14.1 and both versions of RR. I would have to say that RR-N-v5.8.5-20180914-i9300-Unofficial.zip is definitely the one to install! It is smooth and bug free, just like what Raskop testified. A few differences that I observed:
- The camera has better settings/controls; ISO, Exposure, etc.
- This ROM already has the basic necessary features such as "Contacts" to manage contacts info.
- Has better and easier configurations options/settings.
- RR has the option for 3 finger screenshot and also through the power button. Lineage OS do not have this feature.

In fact, Lineage OS is pure garbage for me because Google Service Framework is not yet set; therefore cannot use Playstore to download apps. Has to obtain GOOGLE MOBILE SERVICES (GMS) CERTIFICATION. I have problem trying to get Google Service Framework (GSF) to work in Lineage OS 14.1.

For my usage, battery lasts about 30-36 hrs between full charge. My battery is about a few months old btw.

I'm most satisfied with this ROM version for S3.

Bud! There is the hwc bug (frozen vid issue) exist on the rom! It's the most annoying bug of the smartphone history.... So how COULD you say it's a bug free ROM...

Well .... I dont have that issue. What kernel did you use? Maybe try to flash other kernels?

I'm using the kernel withing the rom itself. Which kernel are you using? If you send me yours I can flash it

I use Boeffla kernel (6.1). Try to google the link or look a few pages back.

I'm still using the unofficial build from September 2018 with the latest official RR kernel (Dec. 2017) for daily using since first flash in Oct. 2018. For a smooth working, I use always the performance govenor (Kernel Adiutor setting). In idle times, all CPU cores are going down to a load of 4-5%, the battery drain is okay for me and not too high. The phone runs very stable.

Sorry for my very late reply, but better late than never I flashed the kernel with Flashify, the exact instructions are attached to the kernel ZIP file (README.TXT).

I have lately installed RR on my S3 and facing battery drain issue, It has gone from 100% to 1% after only 20 hours with only 2 hours SOT (30 min youtube and 1.5 hour surfing FB over wifi) below battery stats screen shots.

2-3 hours max. SoT are quite normal for this ROM. The time also depends on the set brightness and of course what you are doing. The display needs the most power, apps like YouTube, browser and Facebook are not power friendly - the original battery in the S3 has not a big capacity.

Actually this rom is more beautiful.
I didn't test it much, but it seemed a little slow!

That seems to be an experimental build of @NoN1979 with Pie. It runs slowly and unstable.

Take RR 7 - that's really stable and smooth. For me best choice of newer custom ROM builds for the S3 as a daily driver. The battery drain is also okay. The RR-ROM is the most customizable one from all Lineage based versions.

Rom support power on then plugun chager ( because my S3 had broken buton power)
Now look at your Signal RR v5.8.5 but i found only v5.8.0 : ResurrectionRemix-N-v5.8.0-20161216-i9300.zip
