In TWRP, click advanced and the File Manager. Goto data/system and there delete the three files starting with lock.... It will erase the Security settings but not the fingerprints. Then you can run the phone and set new pin etc. I hope it will help. I ve tried this many times and it works.

I've deleted these loads of times and it still doesn't go.

I think u are using substratum themes, some themes just replace all colours to their own colour

Thank you sir, you are right! it was my substratum theme haha

Review of this rom:

I downloaded and installed this rom just yesterday, coming from FreedomOS OB15.
I got to say i am impressed by the stability and general performance the rom is just fast i have never feel any sort of lag of something, amazing work from the dev really amazing work.

Full of configurations and options, really a lot. And the best thing of all, my first full cycle of battery i got 7hrs SoT and i did watch youtube and play some games, a lot of facebook instagram and other apps.

Thank you dev for this amazing piece of work.. :good::good:

I really appreciate your help, this does help me change the pin/pattern for the lockscreen, but when I change the pin to pattern or vice versa, it doesnt change it on the sercure boot, the encryption bit before the lockscreen, it stays the same as it was. I think I might have to clean flash or factory reset but I've tried this before.

Absolutely in love with PAEX. After many ROMs i am settled with PAEX now. Getting nice SOT of 5hrs+ . One thing i need to know is the compatibility of AKT profiles. EAS kernel providing interactive governor ??

Simple answer, no, AKT is not compatible with EAS and this kernel. And don't use the interactive governor of the kernel, it's not working like it should. And I'm glad that you like the rom and it's working good for you :cowboy:

Btw, did the latest build fixed the "disappearing app" from the recents that some users reported?

I didnt notice that actually. Am not using the recents much :D I'll go direct and pick the app most of the times.

I'm using the slim recent mod, and yes the disappearing app still happens a lot. The only workaround for now is to tap the recents button again. ?

Isn't "disappearing" of recent apps a nougat feature? Once the phone goes to deep sleep, the recents are cut down to five apps or something in that range.

Always me! haha i can't believe it!.. mine looks like this.

I dont know why but i cant place a picture or just the link of mine but i got all the colours in blue..
i flash the latest rom, the latest beangapps because i read that was the best for the rom.. but maybe its a issue with substratum i hace all the rom themed up!
As for pics, I use the XDA app. Substratum is a little flakey. I'm using SwiftBlack on everything, but I would remove all themes/overlays (don't uninstall them), reboot, then see what happens.

I actually doubt its subs. But that would determine if that's the issue

Read the thread - asked and answered many times.

You just said how amazing it is. You love the performance and battery life. This is all due to EAS and the schedutil governor. And the first thing you want to do is change the governor to what all the other ROMs use and then slow it down with AKT. If you think the Dev did a good job, why do you think you can do better by replacing the most prominent feature of the ROM?

I was using rr build for the other forum. The developer pushed a recent commit to add volte enhancements from sultan builds. After this commit I was seeing lte enhancement in network settings.
Are you sure its not just a build.prop tweak? That forces on the options, but if the carrier doesn't support it, it just won't work.

I asked before i try. Because this is XDA. And dev gave a straight NO. Simple as that. I believe android is all about trying new things and lesrning new things.

And about reading the thread .. i've checked so much but didint find any thats Y asked. Thanks !

    Phoenix AEX

    Welcome

Phoenix AOSP Extended is an AOSP Extended (AEX) based rom which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. I’ve decided to use AOSP Extended as the ROM base for its simplicity and overall great base, adding features from various other ROMs like Paranoid Android and Resurrection Remix, and from great devs around XDA like sultanxda and RenderBroken. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects, the aim being most reliable and best performing custom ROM for daily use. I’ve put months of my time for the optimization of the kernel and the ROM, so that they work together to provide full EAS support from both sides. I hope you are enjoying my work and appreciate the time I’ve put into this.

This is a ROM made by user to user.

    Time to rise.
    #Be Extended

Please keep in mind that this ROM have nothing to do with the OFFICIAL one as I brought it up alone from scratch. DO NOT report bugs in the official channels or threads!

This is WIP project, so things might change in the future builds.

This ROM uses the Render EAS Kernel, but you can try any custom kernel out there without problems.

This rom is UNROOTED, so use the prefered for you root package. First boot might take some minutes!!!
