is it common to have random reboots when opening camera? and why is there decreased quality of front mostly and little bit in rear cameras? other than that, its the best and smooooooothest custom rom out there.

Nope, reboots aren't a common problem, i see you are the first one to experience that.

Turn "Denoise" off on both cameras, front and rear for better quality.

I mean as in, I'm using my phone normally, with social media apps in the background, and say I have to take a quick photo, then 2/5 times either the camera says media server died, or even once the fone died after I clicked two pics, and they weren't saved. I use j500h variant. what can I do to troubleshoot? man this rom is the best, but still aint as stable when using as daily driver

It is stable, close any app that uses camera before taking photos, if not you will get force closes and fails.
