I'd really want to flash this ROM onto my device. But my top concern is the battery life and the camera features which aren't quite good on this ROM. Any suggestions?

The camera has been getting better on LOS/RR, but it still won't be as good as the stock, TW camera. Honestly, your best bet is going to be to run stock or a rooted stock rom if the camera is that important to you.

I recently went back to stock while I was on vacation last week as I wanted to take the best pictures I could. I forgot how good the camera is on stock. I'm probably going to jump back on RR or the Lineage as the overall performance for me is much better.

Another update, thanks guys for all the hard work! Flashing as we speak.

Update: Everything works except for Snapchat, I get a temporary login error there. Searching for more information shows a relation between being rooted and running xposed, but no xposed frameworks installed on this phone.

It would seem that the latest build IS rooted (if you read the install when flashing) however if you flash superSU or install superSU from the play store ... and reboot, the phone will no longer boot.
I am going to continue testing.

Seems after further inspection, everything is good on the new build. Check the screens.

twrp-3.1.0-0-klte.img + RR-N-v5.8.2-20170329-klte-Official + open_gapps-arm-7.1-micro-20170329

All flashed successfully.

:highfive:

Yes. superSU works fine. It is embedded in the ROM. Please read back a few posts. (Magisk Manager) in app drawer
@unibombz Where are you getting this information from?

From my understanding, the root method installed on this ROM from a full wipe, clean flash is 16-cm-su root as late as the 3/4 build. What it *sounds* like you are saying is that you *CAN* install a different root method (Either SuperSu or MagiskSU) and the ROM will work. (Provided you are using the latest TWRP 3.1.0.0)

Has the root method been changed in the ROM to MagiskSU starting in this new build 3/29 ?

Or am I missing something? A search for Magisk on this thread only yields posts of people asking if it is compatible, or if there are plans to integrate it into the ROM build. (Usually without any answer.)

Watch the install of what is being installed. That can provide valid information. I may just re-flash so I can post the screen shots.
Install the ROM + Gapps (On TWRP 3.1.0.0)
MagiskSU IS PART of the ROM install. Look in your app drawer. It is there as default
There is nothing you are missing. Flash the ROM, Flash Gapps. Let the ROM boot. OPEN MagiskSU you will have root. Install any root app. You will be prompted for granting SuperSU permissions.

Done deal

EDIT: Here are some screens below of the install process -- TAKE NOTE: twrp-3.1.0-0-klte.img WAS USED!
