It's becoming a maze, at this point, I think I would need the device in front of me to figure it out. I've never had this issue, it isn't making sense snymore. I'm trying to help without leading you a direction that makes things worse. I can't seem to put my finger on it.

The stock rom and root method I used were via a tutorial by tekify. Which relies on Bin4ry's root script (could this be the cause?) I found that root junkie has a clean stock rom, or so I believe.

I did try a google apk unroot my tablet, but this thing only damaged the files, so I had to do a reinstall. No idea if this could also be part of the issue.

Also, I have a question, say I install a stock rom (7.4.3) without root, will it affect the 2nd bootloader?

Not sure if this was mention on this thread at one point.

I flashed and tested lineage-14.1-20180326-UNOFFICIAL-tate.zip and crDroidAndroid-7.1.2-20180524-tate-v3.8.7.zip after following rootjuky's root videos.

I then spent the whole evening trying to figure out how to get root to work. I finally got root to work by upgrading kfhd7-twrp-2.6.3.1-recovery.img to kfhd7-twrp-2.8.7.0-recovery.img

Found on this other XDA thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71698966&postcount=677

I'm new to the party, but I see that BT doesn't work? I can turn it on, but it doesn't see my BT headphones. I see the fix is to swap out a file with a stock version of the file?

BCM2076_26MHZ.HCD

Is that the fix? Where can I get this file? Anyone want to share it?

Hi there. Is it possible to flash Widevine drm support into this Lineage 14.1. ROM so I can use apps like zattoo or waipu.tv? Thanks in advance for your answer!

I hadn't heard of that fix
Bluetooth works , but its buggy

turning off the Bluetooth service , exiting back to the settings, turning it on has worked for me .

sometimes I have to turn the paired device off and back on again, too.

it doesn't seem to remember pairing codes, but in general it works after a few tries.

While 2012 marked the first HD designation it is a 2nd gen Fire device. 1st gen is Otter.

As I said 1st generation of KF"HD7", otter is 1st gen "fire", being non HD and non 7" excludes it from being counted in generations "of HD7".

You're going on and on about 1st gen and 2nd gen "fire", I'm talking about 1st gen HD7, the HD7 models only(of which, otter is not one of them), not "all generations" of "fire".

Like the first Mustang Cobra was not the first Mustang, but it's definitely the first Cobra, when counting generations of Cobra, the Mustangs cant be counted, only the Mustang Cobras.

Fully aware of the differences. Please use the proper designations when referring to Amazon devices vs your preferred nomenclature.

TWRP does compile successfully, but the recovery image is larger than the partition on the device itself. I'm already having difficulties shrinking the size of TWRP so I can actually flash it onto the device.

Sent from my OnePlus 3T using XDA Labs

Did you get any further with Lineage 15 and the TWRP?

Hello guys,

I'm a bit lost, why is there two roms ? What is the better for "day use", more stable with good performances please ? Lineage OS or the CrDroid ?

Thanks a lot,

Hello,

I flashed the Lineage OS with the gapps and my Kindle loop on the "boot logo" ( the animate logo with a curve and a circle).

Reflashed the rom, same issue :(

Any information ? I use the twrp 3.0.2-3

Thanks a lot

Edit : Now , unable to enter in TWRP anymore :( Stuck on the boot logo :(
And unable to go in fastboot mode :( . To go in fastboot mode, i have to power+ volume down...right ? and when i'm on the blue Kindle logo, put usb cable, right ? No devices detected :(

Help please :(
