Hello,

I flashed the Lineage OS with the gapps and my Kindle loop on the "boot logo" ( the animate logo with a curve and a circle).

Reflashed the rom, same issue :(

Any information ? I use the twrp 3.0.2-3

Thanks a lot

Edit : Now , unable to enter in TWRP anymore :( Stuck on the boot logo :(
And unable to go in fastboot mode :( . To go in fastboot mode, i have to power+ volume down...right ? and when i'm on the blue Kindle logo, put usb cable, right ? No devices detected :(

Help please :(

I had this exact problem and I literally fixed it today. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to buy a fastboot cable which you can find on Amazon for about ten bucks. Mine was bricked for probably three years because I was too lazy to order the cable but I finally bit the bullet and like, twenty minutes after getting the cable it was up and running again.

Hello guys,

I need help.
I unbrick my Tate with the fastboot cable and go back to full stock.
I rooted the tate, installed second bootloader and TWRP 3.0.2-3.

I put on the tab :

lineage-14.1-20180326-UNOFFICIAL-tate.zip
open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20190504.zip

Flash them by TWRP :

The rom first, and add queue for the open gapps...

Flash is OK, tab reboot...but stuck on lineage OS animation (infinite loop).
Any idea please ?

Thanks a lot !

Hey guys, I am a bit confused with all this Kindle Fire versions...
This one is the right one for this thread?
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0083PWAWU

Thanks in advance for your help
This thread is for the first version of Kindle Fire HD 7 that was released in 2012.

What is the model number of your device?

Do a Google search for:

"Device codename for (your specific model number)"

That will tell you which device you have.

Remember, device codename and device model number are the two pieces of information that you need to correctly identify your device.

that Amazon page shows an HD 7" with HDMI out port and front camera.
Fairly certain that yes, this is the correct thread for that device.

hey,
thank you very much for your answers. :) Yes, its the right one for this thread.
One more question:
By downloading the rom i can choose between:
crDroidAndroid-7.1.2 and Lineagi-14.1
Whats the difference? crDroid version is newer (23.10.2018)

Lineage is more based off AOSP, CRDroid is a bit more of a mix of multiple ROMs, with a Pixel feel.

The different ROMs are just different flavors, the main difference between the flavors is they each have their own mix of customizations and tweaks. Most custom ROMs are either AOSP based or LineageOS based.
Lineage is more based off AOSP, CRDroid is a bit more of a mix of multiple ROMs, with a Pixel feel.
Lineage is "loosely" based on stock android(AOSP). CRDroid and the ROMs built with a "mix of multiple ROMs" are pretty much all Lineage based with other stuff thrown in from other ROMs. Similar to when CyanogenMod was the base for custom ROMs, ROMs like Liquidsmooth, Candy ROM, Beanstalk and PAC-Man ROM were all CyanogenMod based ROMs.

Is there any way I can research release notes or bug reports to figure out which ROM has the fewest problems on Tate hardware? I don't care what ROM or version I use, but I want to avoid problems with backlight levels, bluetooth, HDMI out, Wifi, etc. Please suggest a nice ROM (with link or path) with excellent stability and hardware support.

Lol. Device is 8+ years old; community ROM development/support/interest ceased years ago. I still have my Tate rocking CM 11 (KitKat 4.4). Solid ROM hobbled by hardware limitations. Especially with TI processor and display drivers. Still fire it up on occasion for a trip down memory lane but the enjoyment is short lived. At one point I researched newer ROMs but quickly realized I was at the Apex. I don't game on my tabs; just use for content consumption. Even that is a struggle on this old boy. Good luck.

I was trying to build Lineage OS 13 just because the cm13 buils were rock solid and video playback was smoother than in Nougat. How many people do you think still use it?

I'd like to go back to a solid CM11(Villuminati). I've used every Tate ROM that was ever built, nothing ran as well as CM11.

My dad, who has a Kindle Tate still uses his. I loaded crDroid 7.1 on it and it works flawlessly. I wish there was more development for the Kindle Tate. I'd love to see an Oreo or Pie release!

Does anyone know if the CH341 usb driver is set/activated in this rom? And if its not can you point me into a direction how to add it/recompile it?

Hi guys. I flashed cm-13.0-20160218-UNOFFICIAL-tate and it's ok but camera doesn't work and google playstore is not stable.
So looking to flash lineage-14.1-20180326-UNOFFICIAL-tate unless you would recommend something else.
However, now I realize I cannot get into TWRP.
I tried the power+ upvolume. No go. I tried installing fireflash but it says no root. So I install SuperSU. I select "Normal" to install binary.
But it fails. "installation failed! Please reboot and try again"
I thought these roms are rooted by default.
What do I do now?
Please any help appreciated.

I too have a similar problem with the last update. I also can no longer get into TWRP either. :cautious:
