It is so frustrating to see the first questions people are asking here 10 minutes after the thread opened.
Does it work with multirom?
What's working and what's not?
Do you even know in which Forum you are?
You can get 90% of the informations you need at the first post.

Be careful, this is still a WIP, dont think that all is working FINE!
There is, and will be still alot to do, and pls report back here!

This is a test build ffs.
Flash it and help the dev to fix stuff.
Thanks for the great opportunity to taste some of that nougat.

Happy flashing! :)
Thanks God

Correct me if I'm wrong, but all the credits and bugs should go to official CM maintainers, because Taker is just compiling from the source they've developed.

Credits as it stand in OP are going to WHOLE CM Team.
Taker is 'just compiling' is hard to say, compile by yoursself and we will se how yours going on.
Its a free-time job (hobby) buddy, nobody need to do things that people are happy with there devices

For me everything same as post above. Also split screen works without a problem. So for now two major issues are calls and camera. Overall quite smooth when i was using it couple minutes. Anyway, Good Job! Thats a good start I think :)
Edit: I think that sRGB is set on by default.

I agree with you. I really don't want this thread to become a s**thole similar to the Nougat ROM thread on OPO forum.

Alert Slider does not work as well. And o'click function gives fc. BTW, do you expect us to post logcat of issues or something? Cuz this is not a problem for me and I really want to help with developing.

I've installed this build (Sept 4) and tested it extensively. Typing this post from this Nougat build.

Let me start out by saying: Excellent work @Taker18! Impressive first build; very good especially since we're a couple weeks in after Nougat's release.

Like others are saying in this thread and the other Nougat thread found in the General Section, THIS IS NOT DAILY DRIVER! While there's a lot of good dope in this build, there's also a ton of bad. Please create a restore point from TWRP!!! But don't worry! It'll only get better every release. I'll start with all the problems I found:

-RIL is pretty much broken. Android detects my number, detects SIM (doesn't know my carrier), and my IMEI. NO PHONE CALLS! This is the main reason why I believe this is not daily driver.

- Camera HAL is broken. Any camera app you throw at it will either force-close or display that camera isn't available (tested with Camera360 and stock Snap camera).

-Battery life is HORRENDOUS. SOT of 2 hours and I'm already looking for my charger (100% down to 40%). Switching the governor and underclocking helps, but only slightly.

- Phone gets hot to touch. I've let it cool down by powering off the phone for 15 minutes, but it'll get warm again. Again, switching governors and underclocking won't really help this problem.

- APKs downloaded locally won't be installed.

- Anything other than Trebuchet will either freeze the phone for a long time or softlock the phone (EDIT: this may only be specific to GNL due to broken Google Play services! Nova and Action launcher may still be OK.). I had to force-reboot a few times on GNL.

- SystemUI isn't capable of Now-on-tap. Tapping on the home button will result in a SystemUI FC. I believe this is an issue with OpenGapps (using pico), but maybe it's a ROM problem.

-Selecting text options does not pop up where it should be; the behavior mimics the Lollipop way and puts the items to the headerbar.

-Alert slider broken.

-Dash Charge broken.

-Phone slows down noticeably, even when the governor is set to performance.

-Mysterious app named "HIQ". Don't know what it is, but it FCs on launch.

-Tons of features missing from CM, but that's to be expected.

-Blue LED always ON.

-Laggy here and there

Now with the good:

- Nougat!!!!!!!! Multi window and quick settings is something to look at!

- Animations are absolutely great! I found myself setting all the animations to x2 and hitting the recents button and quick settings a bunch of times

- Surprisingly, not as many crashes and FCs as I expected.

-A new feature on CM ROMs: O-Click. This is I believe for selfie sticks. Useful for some, not for me.

- Root working as expected.

- Phone boots quicker by 2 seconds compared to AOSP marshmallow.

-Bluetooth, mobile data, WiFi, auto-rotate, and location works.

I've attached a full log of my session with Nougat, hopefully they'll have some use. I'm switching back to Marshmallow, but I'll revisit Nougat next month :)

Great job as always @Taker18 :good:

EDIT: WOW, XDA is broken! Like literally, on mobile, nothing works. Attachment is broken (access denied), and there all so many ads to the point where my browser can't function properly. Laggy, end up tapping the wrong links because an AD just decides to load and be intrusive. Can't attach right now, but will try again. XDA isn't like it used to be...

EDIT 2: Uploaded logs in a zip through Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4L7L438fmSgaXVvd1ZBS3E1U0k/view?usp=drivesdk.

Seriously, XDA is total crap now. Unlike before where uploading a simple .txt was easy, I have to do workarounds to get things working...

Edit 3 : Although the tile lights up, location through GPS doesn't work. I have not tested NFC.

Edit 4 : Installed Nougat again, plan on returning back. GPS works, I apparently was in a dead zone for a while. I clarified a bit with 3rd party launchers on top, see edit.

Will this work with multirom?
No.

Even if there was support, I recommend against using multirom. Besides being unstable and adding a massive security hole on your phone, there's no point in using it since you can easily restore your previous ROM through TWRP restore. Full backup through TWRP, wipe everything (except internal storage), then install ROM; if you don't like it, restore.

Thank you, but I have to disagree with not using multirom as it is incredibly useful for isolating software experiments and maintaining a root/modification free environment for apps used for official business.

Anyway, this isn't the place for a debate - but thank you for your input.
