Sony Xperia Z5
Excellent Rom, thanks for uploading it!
I've been using it for a couple days and everything is working well on my Z5.

I tested the camera, playstore, gmail, maps and a few games - no crashes, looks great.

I have a quick question on Sony's CustomizationSelector. I want to be able to select a different modem to work with my provider, but the rom is missing Sony's CustomizationSelector. I tried installing its APK, but it has a whole bunch of dependencies. Do you know an easier way to add it? Or could you perhaps add it into the rom?

Thank you!

    LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    NOTE
    Should you ever face any issues, provide logs (use Google to find out how to gather those). I also need to know what build you're on - hence, you should mention the build number (or at least a date).
    Hint: "It doesn't work" is not a bug report and posts like this will be ignored (and eventually removed). To keep the thread clean, try to use DevDB for real bug reports

    INFO
    This ROM does not use the device trees/kernel from sonyxperiadev. The device tree was made from scratch, and the stock kernel (based off 32.2.A.5.11) has been used.

    My builds are back!

    You can now get them from my download server, BasketBuild or my build server.

    I think the difference is CAF - this ROM is built on it, CarbonRom is finding it difficult.
    If it comes to a choice, I 'll go for a CAF based ROM as the future, but it needs a team to develop not a singleton.

    Thats why I am currently spending all my effort into getting Carbon to get full CAF support going on in order to provide support for the stock Z5 trees and other devices :)

    I promised to keep the Z5 development ongoing, and, unlike others that sold their device to buy a new one I didn't, in order to keep that promise.
    All I expect for that is at least some understanding for what I am doing and how I am doing it.

    Bringing up CAF support for a ROM is a ton of work though, which is why I barely have time for anything else. I am not sure if I am close to being done or far far away either. The ROM is booting, everything seems to work, exept for RIL and camera. Those two things however turn out to be a nightmare. I spend the whole weekend trying to fix the RIL without any kind of success, sadly.

    I'll get it fixed eventually though, there has to be a way to fix it. I just need to find it.

    P.S. It should be kept in mind that this is a development thread and it's supposed to stay that way :p

    Hi @Myself5
    You can say a time for android oreo update? :((((
    Thanks for your time.

    I'll try my very best to get it released at 12:51:21 GMT +2.

    Glad you didn't ask for a date. Otherwise I would have needed to scream at you for being demanding and disrespectful.
