Great Christmas present and a great send-off for a long-time ROM.

Here's to the new year and hoping that Tom is inspired by the new LineageOS and can keep our old friend well equipped in the new year!
This is a pertinent point... how will the imminent corporate suicide of CyanogenMod affect the future development of this (and other) CM based mods?

Is this now a dead-end, or will development carry on as normal?

Just in the process of migrating from the Marshmallow ROM to this one. So far, so good, however, I have come across a bug that had been fixed previously in the MM ROM. It concerns 2.4GHz channel 13/14 availability in European regions. In this ROM, the Set WiFi Region option is missing from the Advanced menu, so it is not possible to set the WiFi region correctly for Europe.

I would appreciate a fix for this so that I can get access to those upper 2.4GHz channels.

WARNING! Recovering a backup from a previous version is actually not recommended, I found apps glitching badly and some forced closures and instability issues, so in the end (During the testing process) I ended up wiping it clean one last time and rebuilding from scratch, and then making a backup of everything once it was rebuilt, so any future releases from @thompatry would be able to take a recovery

Cheers,

David.
Very good advise It think, thank you.

I did a clean install of CM 14 but restored some of my apps that where backed up from CM13, everything was well at first but now some of the restored apps are acting up, my email app especially, it's become a look but do not touch app.:(

I guess it's back to square one with a clean install of CM 14 and downloaded apps from the play store, hate the thoughts of going through all the settings and preferences but the CM 14 is running so good it will be time well spent:)

Thank for posting you're procedure :good:

Did you try wiping the app's data?

Yes I did, and it does work but it wipes the settings so I figure it won't be much more work to do a clean install then hopefully I can avoid any lingering problems I may have caused, everything was working great at first with the exception of 2 app that didn't (Screen Standby and Rotation Locker) I've replaced Rotation Locker with Set Orientation wich is working very well.

Hi @Yemble

This is a bug/missing feature set I have noticed and I am compiling this in a list for @thompatry to review.

Just an FYI my Nexus 6P which is running version 7.1.1 has that missing as well, so I think it is an issue stemming from Google itself, if the foundational ROM does not have it, then most likely it will transpose into the custom versions.

In my research Nougat is supposed to look at the country you choose with initial setup and then enabled the corrosponding channels to that, subsequently if you travel overseas and you have auto roaming turned on, it should then update those settings on the fly.

Since I have no way of testing this (yet) I cannot confirm this, but I can confirm that I am having WiFi issues with frequent disconnects, and no data throughput, but I am also seeing the same issues on my Nexus 6P which has the official release of Nougat (And I was running the official beta as well).

This may be a hard issue for @thompatry to resolve, just be mindful of that moving forward.

Cheers,

David.

has anyone found a REAL fix for lastpass not loading? Not involving downgrading a security application
Hi @phirestalker

I have downloaded the latest version from the play store, and captured some logs and have sent them onto the dev @thompatry.

I have tried various ways to get it to work including turning off root access, and I still didnt get a good result, it just hung at the boot screen.

So far others have been side loading the latest version as that seems to work, as you have to set permissions from the get go, I suspect this may be a Nougat permissions issues as well, or it may form part of the problem.

I will keep testing and get back to you if I find a way to get a play store version working for you.

Cheers,

David.

Anyone else getting just a black screen on boot?
Hi @Ludespeed

Did you read the install instructions right at the begining as step 1?

Typically the black boot screen is because your bootloader is no on Lollipop, since CM13 this has been the case and we find that this is the only issue that causes the black boot screen (Moreover the non boot screen).

Can you please go to the download link on the first page, get the bootloader required to run this, and flash it through Odin (Instructions are also provided on how to do that).

If you are running the LP bootloader, then it may be something else, which in that case I will go through series of tests to help you get up and running.

Cheers,

David.

After correct bootloader flash it's booting now; thanks!

Yes I've read the instructions; I was on Resurrection Remix which I think is based on CM13 without any issues so I might be on lollipop bootloader already.

I've been trying to flash the bootloader from the OP but it keeps failing:

<ID:0/005> Odin engine v(ID:3.1005)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Hi @Ludespeed

Hmmmm yeah this can be frustrating so I am feeling your pain here, so I am going to tell you the way I went about it to get past the exact problems you are facing (In part as I like to find the paty of least resistance, even if it takes longer to do).

Download the official stock Lollipop ROM, if you are not registered at SAMFIRMWARE you should and download the stock ROM for your region, flash your tablet with the latest 5.0.1 stock.

Once stock is flashed, proceed to shutdown and boot back up into the bootloader, then flash TWRP version 3.0.2-0 or later (Make sure it is the TWRP version for our tablets and not another one).

Once TWRP has been loaded successfully, now you can proceed to install this version CM14.

However make sure that you do the following in TWRP:

* Make sure you have the latest GApps (In the first post) choose your version, I recommend the super one, but other prefer minimal version, place this on the SD card

* Make sure the latest version from @thompatry is also placed on the SD card

* Full wipe, meaning go into advanced wipe and tick every box, but the repartion, but you want to wipe all system files as well

* After the full advanced wipe, install the ROM, then once it is completed choose the option to wipe cache/art option, I highly recommend you do this

* Once the cache/art wipe is completed then install your GApps version you have

* Once your GApps is finished installing, please choose the wipe cache/art once more, and again it is important in my opinion to do this if you truly want a clean install

Then once all that is done you can boot and you should have no problems at all [emoji2]

I truly hope this can help you, it is how I make sure I get 100% success rate with any custom install.

Cheers,

David.

Considering this is an Unofficial version and the Official CyanogenMod people stopped supporting the Note Pro awhile back I'd say it won't effect much at all. I mean that's my guess anyway.

Double Deathly Adiutor icons now... And a beautiful ROM!!!

I bought Deathly Adiutor when it was released, and it looks like the ad supported version comes installed as a system app now, resulting in two icons showing on the apps screen. Short of freezing the ad version in TiBkup, is there a way to remove/combine the icons? Which one is running the boot scripts? Or does it matter?

Other than that very small issue, this has been a very smooth ROM! My AnTuTu test showed 53507 , up about 3000 from CM 13 on my tablet, nice going, Mr. Patry!

Is everyone google voice searching/typing working fine? Mine says google can't be reached in the google app after I type the mic.
Mine is also not working. When it said in the first post that "ok google" was not working, I though I could manually activate it and then speak, but apparently that is part of "ok google" not working. I have tried the voice recorder and it works, so the microphone driver is working, there must be some other issue
