Kindle For Comics !

Thanks for your reply Yemble.

Comixology is the app I use the most on my tablet. It is a digital comic book reader/store. The app does not allow comics to be downloaded to external storage. If comics are moved from internal storage, the app will not read them.
My internal storage is full, my sd is not. So far, merging the two was the only way to address my storage issue. I would like to download my complete library to my tablet.
I have already moved everything I possibly can from internal storage to the SD.

It sounds like I should start a new thread that deals with this issue since Lineage OS sounds like the wrong way to go.
Have you contacted the Comixology app developer to register your disapproval? Don't forget that any such restrictions affect Android 7 devices in exactly the same way as Lineage OS, which is itself based on Android 7.1.2. The developer is potentially cutting off a potential revenue stream by imposing such a draconian measure. Personally, I'd have a rant on their forum and see if they respond ( [email protected] ).

I made a new thread so as not to derail the LineageOS thread:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-pro-12/help/suggestions-how-to-deal-comixologies-t3641313#post73156465

Thank you for your suggestion. I have been messaging Comixology both before and after Amazon purchased them. Maybe four years now. At least once a year. I always get the same response and I see many people with the same complaint when googling a solution. Everyone gets the same answer. "We do not implement that feature at this time, but we will pass it on to the developers so they are aware of your issue." Or something like that.

Thanks for your work !

Just a heads up, from this lastest weekly, we have included OMS support. All you need to do is go download the Substratum app from the Play Store.
Hi Thompatry,

I would like to thank you for all the work you have provided on this tablet!

You have made it possible to make it usable again, now I use it to present my projects and google slide during my courses and even MHL works very well!

So, a big sincere thank you to you!

And this is very good news regarding OMS, I can not wait to try this in the next build :)

Do you have sound working on MHL? If so how?

I get an error 7 when trying to install using TWRP. Any ideas?
SM-P900, currently running KOTH49H_P900UEU1BNK1 (4.4.2)
Kernel 3.4.39-2582108

I did have 5.0.1 on it for a while, but I don't know if that has affected anything.

My goal is a very smooth running tablet that's a later OK than KitKat, if possible. I don't need a lot of fluff, just performance. There are apps I'd like to run that require 5.0 or later.

Upgrade the bootloader first from the link on Page 1.

I never needed to test the sound but this is a good question. I'll watch tonight :)

For information, I'm using the official Samsung MHL Adapter : http://www.mobilefun.fr/cable-adaptateur-mhl-2-0-vers-hdtv-hdmi-samsung-galaxy-s4-officiel-38702
I have the Samsung MHL adaptor, my note 3 running official Lineage 14 is just plug and play, sound and video.
I've had sound working twice, I can't easily replicate and for the moment haven't got the time to play. I don't know if it was by changing the Select USB configuration to RNDIS, or whether Soundabout had something to do with it, but it's not just plug and play.

Thank you for the answer! I don't know how I missed that.

Question: I read somewhere that if you upgrade a bootloader, you can't downgrade later. If I install the bootloader from Page 1, will I be able to go back to the 5.0.2 stock release later if something doesn't work out?

Thank you again.

I do not have a MHL adaptor. If you are willing to donate one, I could dig deeper into why the sound is not coming through the adaptor. PM me if you are interested in doing that.

Yes you will be able to go back to 5.0.2.

Really odd. I flashed the 7/15 build (Fresh).
On first boot, I get a constantly repeating popup that says "com.android.phone has stopped". I tap on Close app, but it keeps coming back. Can't do anything else, really.

After doing some research, I went back and rewiped the cache in TWRP. Seems to have fixed it.

Thank you! So far looking good!

would it be possible to enable the lineage os updater in this rom and modify it to point to the exynos5420 jenkins server? or is there a reason why that would be bad idea?
it's not like it's particularly inconvenient to manually check for and install updates, it would just be a nice touch if the rom could notify when there's a new build in the exynos5420 server and download and install it, like the official builds do.
I've been using this rom for a few weeks now, i stuck with the lineage 13 rom for quite a while. very happy with it, as of the last couple of charges the battery life has become insanely good, the best I've ever seen it.

Ping me if you end up needing a different adapter/etc. I'd be willing to donate to facilitate the sound on MHL issue.

Thanks

I am working on it. The Exynos Team will make an updater app or we will moving it over to the Lineage server for Official builds.
