While the "reboot into erecovery" issue is not yet fixed, there is no reason to push a new update, even if the LOS 14.1 is almost fully working on Honor8/Huawei P9

For sure people who know about developing a software can read what is going on, but I ve never learnd this, so a simple status update what is going on would be great.Theres much more to develope than 1 device and that cant be made in such 1 day. You see a bit of progress on github.com/openkirin.
Usually I'd second that but in this case it's Huawei who should answer for this. For sure people who know about developing a software can read what is going on, but I ve never learnd this, so a simple status update what is going on would be great.![]()
And yes, I know that it is going to take more than 1 day.. or more than 1 month aso. but a simple update that we know what is going on would take about ~2 minutes and everyone would be happy about it.![]()
well we had some success actually modifying the kernel ..Why ? Without the sources have it no sense. When the poeple know it

my experience tells me that we have opensource counterparts (4.1.18 common linux kernel) which has much in common with huawei 4.1.18 kernel, just without the "real drivers".My experience says that without the sources a build does not work 100%. I mean the build runs quite well. There are only 2 options. Either Huawei has brain and releases the sources or you get it alone. The second I do not believe. That's why we'll be looking at the empty P9 forever and ever. Best regards

It could work but it's a lot of work...Die Treiber selbst schreiben ist und wird nicht funktionieren .
Build new Driver does not working i think
