Just curious: @fefofifum - Are we just stopping the nightlies until knowing what is going on with the new OS and the shutting down of Cyanogen?

I notice that no nightly has been posted now since 12/25.

No problem, but just curious.

Thank for any info.

Probably because cyngn switched off all cyanogenmod services and it takes a while to get everything back up under lineageos....
And they chose Christmas to do it. Evil cyngn inc

Guys just chill out, as @fefifofum said, that the development will continue, and this whole LineageOS announcement is pretty new, how could he answer all the questions about migrating to the new brand? I think its still unknown for the most of us. Just have patience, its holiday season (christmas, new year) people have more things to do than this. Just be calm and wait, meanwhile enjoying the latest builds that we have on our GPad, keep the thread clean guys, everyone is curious.

It's true, its holiday season, a bad, bad, bad choosing time to end cyanogenmod.
Well, Happy New Year to all!

Thx to Cal for a copy of the 12/16 rom. Wifi all back and working correctly now :) Connects to 5Ghz right off the bat. Will stick with this version for now.

For me wifi on the latest builds is much better than before. No problems to connect to 5 GHz (though I hadn't problems before) and especially not a single disconnect. In addition I have better battery life because my suspend_backoff wakelocks, which where caused by my multiroom music system in my home network since cm 13, are gone.

Probably region dependant? Aka, affecting some, but not others. Mine never found any 5G networks unless I rebooted or turned wifi on or off, even then, it dropped out and back to 2G after some time. I don't leave wifi on during sleep, and upon waking the device, 5G was missing from list, and found it connected to 2G, with no 5G available again.

12/16 rom has fixed this for me.

Seems I remember that fefifofum said that Cyanmod modified the wifi with release of 12/17...and nothing forward worked unless you applied the terminal code he posted back somewhere that would try and reset country code and maybe more...

Never worked, at least for me. I tried everything manually and with the terminal and no joy. Back always to just 2.5ghz. Best I ever got was a 'try' by 5ghz to connect, but would bounce back to connect to 2.4.

I noticed in the programs posted in the opening page #1 of this thread a lot of Roms are posted going all the way back. Anything you want to save...should do it now. I feel that Cyanmod will clean up this site.

Who knows??

I made 2 different test zips for the wifi issue you are having. Please, test both of them (on latest cm-14.1 nightly) and let me know if any of them work:

Test 1: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224409002

Test 2: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298920027

Tried both, test zip's 1 &2. No joy running Rom 12/25.
First test zip 1, I flashed along with flashing Rom 12/25. Then tried connecting...but Wifi would always revert to 2.4ghz.
Then I dirty flashed test zip 2 and same story. Would try & connect to 5ghz then connect to 2.4ghz.
Typing this with Rom 12/25 @ test zip2. Will try the terminal...and report back.
EDIT: No luck setting with terminal. Same results as above with zip2.
My location is US.

Seeing as CyanogenMod is finished now, would it not seem to be a grand idea to post up a link to the 12/15 ROM, call it stable, then move on? I'm currently on 12\17 which is proving to be fine, but haven't tested wifi issues yet. I'd be happy to leave my tablet on a stable build for a while. And I'm sure plenty of others would too if they were pointed to a stable build.
