Have you tried just freezing some of them? Ive found its easier to recover from testing whether my phone was afu.

naaa...I redo these ROMs myself, so no need to freeze anything. I much rather prefer to just delete what I don't want. If I need something, I'll just put it back in and reflash.
But anyway. I know that one of the wssync files is for Samsung to update it's own stuff on the phone, which I delete out of the rom anyway, so I don't use that. The other one is for the AT&T OTA updates, which of course I don't do, so that gets deleted as well.
But the last one, "wssyncmlds.apk" is the only one I am wondering about. As far as I know, it controls the syncing of the AT&T address book, which I assume only noobs would use anyway. Since I don't us it, I figured I would delete it as well, although I notice pretty much all the devs keep this file in there for some reason.
There is a running process called "synchronize" if you leave the file in there, and you can disable it in the APPs manager in the phone. So I guess if you leave it in there and don't want to use it you can just disable it anyway, but I figured if I am not going to use it, why should I have it cluttering up my ROM.
I was just curious if anyone knew if that files does anything else besides syncing of the AT&T Address book.
Also on a side note. I was running the GE 4.2.2 rom for weeks which ran really well, but after trying out this new MF3 Samsung ROM, I found that it runs very well and much better than the last MDL release. I was becoming a purist with the GE rom, but now after seeing how well MF3 is running after cleaning up the crap out of there, I am thinking I might stick with that for while now. I was surprised.
