Anyone still using this ROM? Just bought a used Z5 Compact, I know it's an old device but a cracked the screen of my Mi 5s and found a good deal on the Z5 Compact. Really like Sony phones...

Is this ROM better than stock one? I wonder if a third party camera app could do a good job with the photos like a Manual Camera ou Camera FV-5...

I don't think you should because the ROM is really old (last update was 2017)

There are people out there still using kitkat or Loollipoop.
I use this ROM and it's better than lineage suzuran because of the root and customization options. The battery lasts longer when you have a lower max cpu frequency

And I don't think we will see Pie on this device, seems pretty hard to do it, although I saw new ROMS for Z1 and Z2.. That is such a bad news

But did you have to uninstall the chinese apps?
How is WiFi on this ROM? I have that unstable WiFi in my Z5 Compact, conect only to certain networks.

wi fi - perfect.
there where no chinese apps, I installed the version from 2017, I don't know if there where other future updates in the thread. In the first post it says something about how to update but don't know if there where any, to me it's perfect, no issues.

I've installed kernel toolbox, set the cpu to ON DEMAND or INTERRACTIVE with 384 minimum and 864/960/1248 Mhz maximum depending on what I'm using and I get 4 to 5 hours of screen use in 24-48 hours. I have stock kernel.

I could say there is an issue or maybe I'm wrong, it has an option to stop wi fi and celular network at certain moment after screen close and it does so. The problem is that when I disable the option it still does stop wi fi and celular if not used so it's a problem for whatsup but I'm not sure if this is a problem or it updates this setting a few later. A
Anyway I don't find it a bug for now.

I use the phone only for music and facebook so it's enough for me. Before that, with stock ROM, I got 3 to 3.5 hours of screen use becuase I lost TA partition, and the battery drained more in stand by than in use, about 1%/hour in stand by even if airplaine mod is activated. With this ROM battery drains 0.25/0.30% per hour with celular connected and 0.15% / hour with airplane mode activated.

---------- Post added at 12:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:28 PM ----------

I don't know how much it counts on security because it's an unofficial ROM and pretty old but this phone is a secundary for me, so I really don't care about it that much. Android is bad on security anyway

The new Aosp Extended ROM is a great alternative to this Resurrection Remix

This is a pretty good rom, although my bt connection sometimes craps out for no reason, but other then that it's way better then the stock rom

Thanks @mountaser halak for this rom, i have tested LineageOS 14.1 and AospExtended and MROM but i prefer the simplicity of this rom.

With Magisk 19.3,
FDE.AI v5.4
Call Recorder SKVALEX

And all is working perfectly.

I have flashed the undervolt.img and in Kernel Adiutor i can choose the voltage for each frequency but the voltage change by himself without my intervention and i don't know why then i return in kernel audiutor after i left it (by the way "apply on boot" is selected)

Can someone explain me why ???

Thanks

edit : i think it's because the undervoltage was too low.

Try to change the higher frequencies first, that should work.
Also some frequencies keep the same voltages (for example if you set 800 mV for 600 mhz it should automatically set 800mV for 400 and 300 as well)

@TheVan28 Thank you, I succeeded in doubling my autonomy, I manage to do two days, with greenify to reduce the services in background.
I have max clock at 1728mhz for the big cpu.

I was thinking about changing the battery but now I don't need it anymore.

Picture of my voltage table in attachment.

Can you send me battery stats? How many hours of screen can you do?
Also, what about heat and performance?

Thanks for building this rom!
I have used this rom for more than a year and everything is satisfactory;
besides the camera, I want to use Sony Stock Camera, is there any way?

i dont own a Z5c so i cant really help with any issues but i tested the Rom on my friend's phone and its working 100%
but if u have any questions just ask them and i will try to answer
    anyways have fun with RR

anyone interested in testing some fresh build with kcal and volt control pm me on telegram plz @Mountaser_halak

I really miss KCAL drivers - i've got used to it and now colors looks soo washed out.

But expect this this ROM looks great, so far it is very stable and everything i need works flawless. And substratum works with it ;)

i can add that i know the struggle :) i cant live without Kcal xD
let me see if i have some time this weekend but probably am gona be porting my custom kernel to 8.1 for my LG G3 bez the crdroid one is not good enough for me on the 8.1 build so most likely am gona add Kcal and other stuff the week after
