Does anyone know fix for this issue? Or am I forced to change rom?

Everyday, my phone looses service and I need to select my network, reboot or hope it picks it back up. Now, this not an issue with the phone or my Network Provider. It worked no probs on 4.8 and any other rom. Only this one has the issue.

Ive flashed the modem and kernel and still same issue persists.

Anyone anyyyyyy ideassss??

Out of all the roms available, i prefer this one. I would prefer not to downgrade back to 4.x

Its done it 8 times since writing this message.

Need more info. Who is your provider? (so people of the same provider can chime in) what kernels have you tried? Are you restoring system data? All these answers will help us help you.

Ee is my provider.. tried neak and at this point cant remember at this point but the other but it offers dual boot. Reverted back because this rom doesnt play nice with the dualboot recovery. I never restore system data. I dont nandroid backup because i dont care about loosing data. My risk.

I always clean flash. Even updating a rom because i like to avoid issues.

I got EE to send the APN settings.

Any other details required I can supply it all. Even if you want the name of the other kernel lol

Thanks for the response anyway !

Is your APN setting changing ??
Often the save step is missed or doesn't stick..
Also....you could have a baseband issue or conflict..

The latest set of issues reported with this rom boiled down to needing the latest 2.6.3.0 TWRP recovery...and a clean download of the rom via PC...then a direct placement of the rom to SD card via USB connection to the device...

I know that a few items sound redundant...but we've had a lot of problems getting this build flashed likely due to file size as well...thus the PC download method and avoiding the device for pulling files...

And of course once in the fresh recovery....(push via Odin)....you'll want a full wipe to include the internal storage to ensure that old or incompatible framework data isn't being loaded on boot...

Backup of your EFS folder is wise...as well as a nandroid ...

I'm unsure at this point if a step has been missed...but with the download problems we've had I'd start fresh and pull the file again...g

@SwannyBhoy: Would you please go to Settings/About device (you have to scroll down to the bottom) and tell us exactly what it says underneath these headings:
Model number

Baseband version

Kernel version

Thanks,

Dutch

Is anyone trying the MotoTheme Mash up from TMobile app & theme section ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2370839 ?

Is there a theme quite similar to thAt theme perhaps some of you have tried? The theme works nice but there's a few sections where the words are spelled wrong for example :

Man I wish we could get another updated CleanROM. I just put BeanStalk on to try it out...but I personally enjoy TouchWiz and how nice it looks. I'm sure I could have customized BeanStalk more, but CleanROM is just easy to use lol.

Is there any plans for someone to take the CleanROM project over or at least continue with an updated ROM utilizing TouchWiz? I looked for one, but couldn't find one.

I bought my wife the S4 and to be honest I would ditch my Note 2 for one in a heartbeat. I'm going to have to start bugging AT&T about upgrading me early.

Thanks!

Well there's nothing to update or work with right now. I'm sure these questions could be answered when the 4.3 LTE international build is finally released.

Oh ok. Seeing some AOSP ROMs with 4.3 I figured that meant we could get a CleanROM with 4.3 but I'm no expert so that is probably where my thoughts are flawed.

CleanROM is based on touchwiz, so until there's 4.3 for TW version, it won't happen (and assuming if Scott will build a CleanROM for that version)

There is a Touchwiz 4.3 available for the International Note 2 (7100) nothing available for the I317 yet though.

    installation.png

    • Must have custom recovery installed. I recommend the latest version of twrp.
    • Copy ROM to storage
    • Reboot to Recovery
    • Must wipe data and factory reset in Recovery. Failure to do so waves your "right" to support.
    • Restoring any data from any back up also waves all your right to support. Please don't bother posting in the thread!
    • Flash ROM and Select Options!
    • Reboot to System
    • Profit!

    About Installation
    • Do NOT flash Mods or Themes unless they say CleanROM ACE 4.7.0 compatible!!!!
    • Clean flashing is the only recommended flashing method! Anything else may lead to problems!
    • If you have problems go back and wipe data and re-flash. Do not report in the thread until you do so!
    • If you fail to wipe Clean or you choose to restore data / apps or anything else from back up apps like Ti Back up you will suffer from a seriously degraded experience!
    • If you flashed a Mod / Theme or Kernel do NOT report any bugs until you wipe Clean and re-flash with only options included in the ROM!
    • Do it by hand or dont do it at all!

    Boot Animation Info
    • If you choose Stock Animations then you can use THESE animations!
    • If you choose Custom Animations then you can use THESE animations (or any other you find you like)!
MOD EDIT: Download link removed with OP's permission.

    Good by for now!

Sorry to disappoint guys... But some bad news...

The good, the bad , the ugly....

The good first: I'm going to have my time on my hands!

The Bad: Its because I am slowly exiting Android Development.

The Ugly: I wont be updating this ROM as planned...

    At this time...

I consider this ROM open source and anyone can build off it and claim it. Just give appropriate credit for the base...

Its been fun guys but my priorities have changed substantially. I will be slowly exiting Android Development. This may or may not be permanent.

    Ok guys....

    CleanROM 4.0 is uploading!

Lots of feedback went into this ROM! I think I actually pushed the limits of my skills.

    Its nice....

Please hit "Thanks" if you are wantin' to see it! I would love to see 23K before upload and maybe 25K in the near future.

I dont get paid to do this other than the pure enjoyment I get from my Thanks and Downloads meter going up. Help a brother with Thanks :good:

Here is one for the road ;)

NOTE: I update the Aroma Binary installer on this one and noted that out of about 15 installs (yes, that many test installs on a build of CleanROM) it would get to the install portion and just not install. A simple reboot into recovery and run the install again fixed. Still not sure if this is an Aroma issue a recovery issue. Either way I didint think it was a show stopper.

    As always...

    Dont Flash and Drive!
