I expect Lineage 15 to be releases in the future, at the moment I'm battling with the code to get the camera (and other issues) working. Having a peak in the code from Samsung helps a lot in locating the issues, as I've already rules out the kernel.

However, my development system died yesterday, so I have longer builds (dropped from i7 to B960). I hope to be up and running in a couple of weeks. For coding there is no need for a fast cpu/loads of mem, so I can still dive in the code.

My development system has been replaced, first test build has been uploaded (OP updated). Nothing more then a recompile with security patches, but the environment works again.

I have been using posiedon. All the hardware functions are there. Any ideas how to merge with lineage? S

Oh, that's good news, there must be sources to be found from that build, that would help a lot.

How is the development evolving? Any future builds coming up?
I'm afraid that development has almost grinded to a halt at the moment. My currect contracting assignment doesn't leave enough spare time to dive into the code.

However, I managed to get a build with the latest security patches, OP updated.

Here is his Dev page

Also, I have been running the

https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-lineageos-14-1-t3536401

On my Verizon note 4.

So on it all the hardware works. Fingerprint etc. Since it's a Samsung device, I am sure some of the hardware is similar.

I have made great success in stabilization of apps by flashing opengapps 7.1 full. This replaces all the aosp programs with the Google ones. It definitely helped.

So Let me know if you want me to beta.

I am going to do a full backup of my Posiedon, and try your new release.

Best wishes

Abandoned?

I have installed this LOS ROM on my Galaxy TabS2 8.0 (SM-T710) and it all works fine. The stuff that don't work, of course do not work on my tablet either.

But the main problem that I have with it is the battery life. The battery drains in 7 or 8 hours of usual usage (nothing running, no GApps installed). If I leave the tablet sitting over night, it dies by the morning. So I was wondering if there are any updates on the ROM to come in the future or not. Not nagging or anything, and I am very appreciative to @T_I and everyone else who contributed to the ROM, it is a stable and fast system. Thanks. But I don't know what to expect in the future from this ROM.

Thanks.

I have downloaded Poseidon and intend to install and test it in the coming days. But I was potentially looking for a more stripped-down OS without Samsung's added complexities to the OS. Thanks for the reply. I will test Poseidon and see how it would work for my needs.

I use Poseidon because everything works.
I M working on a development laptop to see if I can get this ROM going. I have a 710 and love Lineageos, but my device needs to be a daily driver. It has magdisk root which is all I need for now
