It's not official now but could lineage be official for T710 or nobody think about our devices...

encryption problems
Sorry I seem to have broken my install by encrypting it and probably won't have time to poke and investigate till tomorrow
The encryption itself seemed to go ok, I get prompted after power on for the password as normal with encryption but now never get beyond the lineage startup animation, sometimes after a few hours of that it seems to turn its self off

You have to be patient [emoji16] . @T_I did his best to get CM on T710

So re-flashing 20170202 didn't fix boot but after factory reset from in twrp and re-flashing I got back a working encrypted tablet (the second re-flashing may have been unnecessary)
As-sides from eating battery a bit and brightness issues, things work very smoothly on 14.1 if anyone else is still a bit unsure on trying it or not

What boxes do I need to check in TWRP when I wipe to restore my nandroid backup of the original OS software?

Yes,...bit of a novice here. Before I installed Lineage 14.1, I made a backup of the original software on the tablet with TWRP. Just need to know what I need to wipe (if anything) before I restore the backup.

System, boot, cache and data! But are sure that you did nandroid for System, boot and data before installing Lineage 14.1. If yes so you can restore your nandroid without any problem.

Yep, I did...plan to work with Lineage a little longer to see how I like it before I make a decision.

This can be daily driver if you can live with the limitations eg camera and fingerprint missing
Any idea on the battery issue?
On latest stock rom I can go 3 days of average use without charging. Lineage never lasts through the night. This is with only pico gapps installed, and chrome, steam, and skype.

Yes, with some additional time spent on Lineage I can see using it as a DD is feasable. The fingerprint option is not a big deal for me and the lack of a camera is disappointing but it's not a deal breaker...just yet. More time will tell.
At this time still using Lineage.

When I saw the tons of rol available for nexus and pixel devices and there users are asking for more features but here users are just asking for fingerprint and camera...Yes, with some additional time spent on Lineage I can see using it as a DD is feasable. The fingerprint option is not a big deal for me and the lack of a camera is disappointing but it's not a deal breaker...just yet. More time will tell.

There not a just middle.
But I'm no more hopping for a good rom on this device as it is becoming old...
So the conclusion is stay on stock and in fact Samsung stocks roms are the best so far and were on marshmallow so no problem.

Alright so I have been running it for 3 days now!, I have notified that the battery drains sort of quickly but the ROM is still settling so no problem there. Have not had an overheating issue either.
I occured one problem I rebooted and it went into a boot loop it was something with the wifi I cannot seem to get it to occur again but I just wiped and reflashed and it was all good.
No game mode I can find is compatible to work either
Other then that and the camera super excited to see if we can get devs with the tablet to increase efficiency of ROM thanks and keep up the good work
