Youtube is having a problem where when you set the video to 1080p, after a minute or so the video zooms in awkwardly. It can be easily replicated.

This is a very well-known bug, affecting all AOSP-based 7.1.1 ROMs. The problem has to do with auto quality detection. If YouTube, and pretty much all web-based video, allowed for the resolution to be manually and statically set, this wouldn't be a problem.

Heya fellas :) I recently switched from CM 13 to Lineage and it works perfect so far but for me it seems like the scrolling isn't as smooth as it was on CM 13. Does anybody have any suggestions for tweaks I might make that would help smooth out scrolling a bit? I can't think of anything off the top of my head. TIA :)

I'll make my T813 device available for testing. I thought that 14.1 was available for it and I got the name wrong. It's a clean slate and ready to go for beta testing.

Along with Netflix, I have two other video app not working. It all seems to be DRM related. Here are the logcat output from all three apps:

Ok, build of the T813 is done, so I'm back to the T810 (and T710/715). Got the screen fixed of T71x, but now the screen of T810 has gone black... Debugging.

In the mean time, LineageOS decided not to include root by default, but instead offer a root package that has to be flashed after the image, to re-enable root the way that users are accustomed to. Updated OP with the link to these packages. (also as a reminder for myself ;) ) It's not known to me if this package has to be flashed after every update of the images, or just once. As soon as my build has it's screen back I'll test this.

Root will survive between flashes of updated images.

Nice to know. The latest build has working screen, although it's not aparent before it's finished. I managed to get a blank bootanimation. Uploading an image build WITH_SU as I type. Will update OP as soon as upload is finished..

Edit: Updated OP.
Could we just use standard SU binaries? I've done that with CM in the past. With those I know if you dirty flash there's no need to flash the binaries, only if clean flashing. :)

Cheers, any update on the fingerprint sensor? Seems to be fixed in aosp rom.
Should be fixed in this rom as well, as we're using the same core modules, but I'm missing something... diving into it.
Bootanimation had been 'kinda' fixed. Copied it from T813 build, where it is compiled correctly, and placed in the out dir for T810. OP updated

Edit: Bootanimation permanently fixed, compiling with all fingerprint settings (forgot the blobs ).
