Nothing directly related to z5c. There are always some small updates of subprojects though - look here (those related to cr-5.1):
https://review.carbonrom.org/#/q/status:merged

Is call recording really something special? Isn't it just a matter of installing some app?

Thank you for your work.
It seems that https://github.com/olefb/android_kernel_sony_msm8994 which from LineageOS maintainer olefb covering more changes.
Maybe you can use that kernel for future builds.
Sorry for my bad English.

Honestly, I don't get what could be the problem for you. For me it worked in every single build.
Did it work for you on other ROMs? Did you try to format system and caches before installing this one?

You're welcome!
There are just few commits of difference - but, indeed, the last build I did with this kernel, tested for one day, seems like it also works well.
Security patches from 6th of November included (automatically, but nevertheless): https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/2017-11-01

How did you make the FM radio work?

About bluetooth calls: I confirm having the same problem; looks like the issue was recently addressed at LineageOS (https://jira.lineageos.org/browse/REGRESSION-986, https://forum.xda-developers.com/lineage/general/kb-article-troubleshooting-bluetooth-t3646969/page2 etc). I'll try to fix this soon.

Well i'm not sure why and how it was working but the only thing i remember which i always do is when i'm in twrp i go to wipe then advanced wipe and i check off everything to be erase that includes data, system, internal storage and dalvik/cache setting except external sd card. Also if you're using Magisk i used the latest Magisk Beta: v14.5 (code: 1456) version cause when i used the old stable version i run into problems that isn't the rom, so maybe by using the latest Magisk solve fm issue for me who knows lol. I know, i'm not much help but hopefully you get a ideal of what i'm doing so maybe it can help for you .

Android pay does not work

Hi img the way i got android pay to work is correcting Google to pass it's security test (SafetyNet). In this rom and lineage i always get failed safetynet when im checking in Magisk it didn't bother me before but when i wanted to use android pay aswell it didn't work. When i tried to use android pay it would give me pop up warnings that this device is a rooted device so android pay is disabled. The way i fix safety net and is to use this file Magisk Universal SafetyNet Fix (https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431). Once in twrp in installed the file and when i ran android pay voila it worked no more rooted device warnings and i pass SafetyNet!! good luck.

Hi!
Installed CarbonROM yesterday and even though everything is working fine, I'm just wondering if there really aren't any navbar customizations at all? (long press back to kill app, long press to turn off screen)
Am I missing something? :)

hi brordavid within substratum there is a plugin called [Substratum] Vivid Navbars - (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ami.vividiconset&hl=en) that lets you customize your navbars the way you like it they have amazing themes from justice league to star wars and others.

NOTICE:
It has been really fun porting and Lineage and Carbonrom top the Z5C, and it has been amazing to see you guys (The community) try it out for yourselves and make your own builds. Due to my Z5C being broke I have passed it on to a recycling company - meaning I can no longer test or update builds. Please do feel free to link your own builds in the comments (As long as they do not breach the rules of course ;) )
Thanks for the support this year - and I want to thank those who are keeping their own builds up to date! :)

    [UNOFFICIAL] CarbonROM for the Z5 Compact [Suzuran]

    From the CarbonROM team
    "CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy."

    Please feel free to look, build, and use the code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
    2) Read the FAQ, which can be found on the carbonrom website. Carbon FAQ
    3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
    4) Ask a question on the official IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

    Update from me: over the weekend I will be compiling new builds of lineage and carbon (there will still be no WiFi sadly), mainly just a bug fix update, nothing big. I am working alongside some great developers and hoping to get WiFi working soon (For those that don't know, it's the kernel that isn't working, as it doesn't have the suzuran drivers, sadly they are different drivers from most other Xperia's)
