The Evo 3D is decent hardware trapped under old closed source software. The CDMA side of the forum has been quiet for a minute what with everyone buying newer, better devices to hack away at. I want to fix that up a little.
Let's bring this tough old phone back to a current Android version if possible!

You flash it, not my fault. No warranty expressed or implied.
I told you it's an alpha and nothing works, the alarm may not go off, it may eat your cat, your mama/wife (depending on marriage status) will hate it and say you're wasting your time.

Haven't tested different HBOOTs, I'm on the jbear 1.50.5050

Have fun looking at Oreo running (well, sorta running, for now until I fix it up,) on a Gingerbread/Ice Cream sandwich phone!

flash with TWRP

clean flash, don't try to bring your GB/ICS/JB/KK userdata along to Oreo! I'd totally expect extra breakage from that beyond the alpha issues.

Unfortunately, not much works, and I've been missing either time, motivation, or mental acuity to bring it more online.
Still, I'd like to at some point get this working right including the 3d.
Current issues are partly kernel and partly ancient device tree, all mixed up with another msm8226 device (hp touchpad, is what Evervolv folks are using that I've kanged off of.)
Hoping to get my head back together before too long, as my long term crashed and burned again so all that stress isn't there anymore.
