This sounds very familiar I know first S4 Gpe edition had framework res left from tw which was great because camera was working partially (I started the project but it never got finished) so it'll be possible [emoji4] but then again some stuff might get broken also is camera apk available @OldDroid could try it since he has sdcardfs working which emui uses idk if phh has it working ^^

Hello and happy new year @ all developers!
Project treble seems to be the best solution for our new honor 8 pro. My problem is, that Huawei/Honor seems to be sleeping at the problem with actual OSes. Android 8.1 is ot there, and there is only running android 7 at this new device. That's bad, but i don't want to buy a newer phone this year. Ne next problem is, that i only needs the very good Huawei cam-App, the rest of the huawei emui doesm't fits to my interests.
Please developers, make an update for treble, with a solution for the bugs and issues... and maybe the original dualcam-app for treble ...
It would makes me happy

Display glitches/artifacts have been fixed, aswell as dual sim. Security patch has been bumped up to the latest version - as a little addition the rom will now also feature the stock huawei camera instead the aosp variant, portrait mode is the only current bug regarding this camera application, otherwise it works like on stock! Ah did i mention that encryption has been fixed aswell?

Though using stock unrooted, bL locked due to bad experience while playing with this device compare to oneplus

Yes, I flashed EMUI8 it worked, then this ROM, my phone was rooted + unlocked bootloader.
