iwant to install actuall gapps, but its not important. rom works good, but fingerprint...

All core actual gapps are included rest is downloadable from play store

First of all, thank you and I'm more excited for this than I'd be for the official update. The only reason I'm still using the stock ROM is that I love the camera quality and the dual lens features. So I saw that the stock Huawei camera app is included in the ROM, and I went through the thread but I couldn't find anything that confirms if the wide aperture mode works now with the stock camera included. Could anyone confirm that?

so the wide aperture mode works, but since we lack the stock huawei gallery app, you can't change the focus or aperture afterwards.

I forgot, the rom is only patched to 2018-01-01 because we lack the kernel changes. Will be fixed in upcomming build - i forgot to change it back from 01-05.

The rom showuld work fine on the V9 aswell!

Development and support seems to be more active here than on phh's treble ROM.

Partially not fully I guess since not same soc and fixes for Bluetooth and more would most likely need to be re applied for view 10

Thanks, I installed the ROM and everything works so far.

I've noticed that when I unlock the screen using fingerprint, immediately after the screen unlock the google search opens up with = already in the search field. I've changed launchers, removed the google search widget and it doesn't stop unless I disable the google app.

While typing this response, I locked the screen and unlocked with the fingerprint, somehow unlocking with the fingerprint types = in the text field so I am guessing the issue is not with the Google app.

my root problem is cleared. I have flashed Android 8 emui 8.0.0.320 with flashtool for twrp(it changes recovery), then reset, then flash twrp,then flash supersu and boot, then factory reset, then flash systen(aosp) and then flash supersu twice. ...boot

hmm, now i have installed xposed for oreo, and a xposed mod for power-menü, this works fine. then i have installed a fix for google play service doze mode... and the problem with the "google search = " at unlocking with fingerprint is away...
all work fine...
my last question is: how can i set the place for downloads at the external sd card? the point in original emui8 settings is lost.

Its due to a keyevent which fires upon FPS touch, @OldDroid is gonna fix it in the next build.

Yes you can flash system.img in twrp BUT you'll have to convert it before with sim2img.

You need to update to emui 8.0 first else it doesn't matter if you flash it with fastboot or twrp

Great, I will test it. Yesterday I went to the official Huawei service centre,
but they rejected to fix my phone (even for money), because my bootloader was unlocked :/

dowload all firmwares and have huawei extractor on ur computer extract the firmware and install system boot recovery from command window it will not work but it will lock ur boot loader which can claim ur warrenty i did it with my huawei p9.at first they are not reading for doing the repair as it is unlocked but after that they changed the mother board under warrenty. hope this will help u

2 good food mode is not there in ported camera but happy to see the OREO camera of EMUI with Portrait mode.
3 as of now very smooth
4 Fingerprint Working
5 didn't show charging type i.e fast charge logo not coming and i didn't see the charging rapidly text on lock screen it maybe of my cable problem.
6 charging seems good while idle. at 2.31 it was 62% and now 65% at 2.36(stock ROM didn't full charge my phone even it was plugged for 2hrs).
7 while unlocking with FP google apps opens automatically and showing = on search bar ( only on homescreen and pressing fp even after vibration) Actually = is inserted in every text box means.. if you lock you phone by selecting address bar on chrome or any other app, after you unlock it using fingerprint = is inserted there:laugh:



Changing back to EMUI due to lack of VOLTE.. i will be back soon when it was fixed .

1. unfortunatly i can't check for VoLTE here in germany - but i will have a look
2. will be implemented in next update
5. fast charging ui indicator requires some framework changes, it IS fast charging even if the ui tells you its not - the only thing not working is supercharge
7. will be fixed in next update

when it comes to the llittle anim or volume adjustment "glitches", huawei didn't implement the hwcomposer correctly - e.g. thats where the things usually get dirty - don't expect a fix soon for that.
But since they are almost unnoticable they won't affect the daily driver ability ^^
