Yes, just grab it from APKMirror. It will run flawlessly.

I think you can. But it's recommended to flash with adb

@twu2 I am experiencing (or sufferring) an issue after I flashed my dear Mipad 1 with

1. BootBlobs-SHIELD-mocha.zip
2. twrp-3.2.1-0-mocha-shield-20180419.img

• RR-P-v7.0.2-20200425-mocha-Unofficial.zip

Then my dear Mipad 1 ALWAYS dies after "Hibernation"( mainly when screen turned off), acts like a brick until manual-force-reboot.

Now the way I prevent it from death is either playing music in background
or recharging it to make a lock-screen animate show

Am I the only victim?

Gez, you are amazing, you saved my tablet!

The detail I really made it (after a little bit failure)

1. Full wipe the device (System, Cache, Dalvik and Data)
2. Flash tos.img ( can either use 'fastboot flash tos tos.img )
3. Flash recovery img from that thread (MUST BE DONE and the ORDER matters)
4. reboot to recovery again
5. Flash the ROM you like

In the end, @reflecx you are too nice to be true, thank you again and again.

isn't possible to resize!
after installing dot OS when I went for installing GAPPS stock version, it restricts with error 70
because of annoying limited room I have to choose pico or nano versions..
I even have formatted internal storage yet it holds the same dedicated 1.2 GB..
on online there a zip file is available, which was about repartition of 1.2 GB..
would anyone provide any solution to how to resize the system partition.. I am using Team Win recovery..

Which root is working on this ROM?
Magisk gives me bootloop.
And I am getting only 3-4hrs sot with 1-2 days standby. Any means to improve this?

The rom is fabulous. It's so smooth and kept alive my 6yr old Mi pad. But the idle drain is something I can't get over with. Getting 1% idle drain for every 1hr. Using the rom without gapps if it all Google services to be the culprit.
How-to overcome this idle drain ?

It is because u used old twrp ... Just follow these step

...........
Step-
1. Wipe all things (data, system,dalvik, cache)
2. Then keep all files (tos img and above recovery dated 3/11/2018)
3. Flash tos then new twrp using fastboot (cmd are written above)
4. Then reboot to recovery . And then send dotos rom and gapps file while in twrp and flash both , dotos rom and then gapps 8.1
5. Done

I found that gapps nano is creating a problem after change nano to pico everything is working fine thankyou

Well, the ROM is going very well but I would like to know if there is a kernel that can be installed so that it lowers the performance a little and does not consume hardly any battery since I only use it to read PDF
