AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended

Np7jfnY.png

#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. We are not thinking of cherry-picking every feature out there. Our aim is to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think. For addition of more tweaks or features, head on to our G+ community and post the list of features that you want! Features with commits will be more helpful!

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP.

-Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.

-Does this ROM Support Substratum/CMTE?
->Yes, full Substratum support!

-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps

-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.

-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have xposed uninstalled.

-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

-I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
->Provide full info about your problem with logcats and the procedure to reproduce it.
->How to take Logcats?

-Adaway is not working :(
->Download it from here Adaway

-SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.

I know it's not mentioned in the thread but with 64bit ROMS rising in popularity I was wondering if this is 64bit or 32bit, if it's 32 I'll happily flash.

Also you didn't state the ROM was unofficial, is this ROM planning to go official?

Thanks in advance.

Flash it and test it.

---------- Post added at 02:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:44 AM ----------

@LuizH007 can u release a nougat build with Feb security patch?

Why are you asking about Nougat in an Oreo thread? You should ask dev in private message rather than bog thread down with irrelevant posts.

Thanks for the ROM, one question, just 64 only? Or maybe upload 32 bits in other time?

Chances are that it's a 64-bit ROM. Not much effort is being put into 32-bit ROMs.

*According to the Oreo ROMs table thread, this is definitely a 64-bit ROM.

I use to connect to internet with a PLUGABLE USB 2.0 OTG MICRO-B TO 10/100 ETHERNET ADAPTER, but with this ROM I cannot make it work!, are the drivers not included or me doing something wrong?

    Thinking about taking over support for this ROM, what do you guys think?

    AEX has dropped official support for our device as nobody reliably maintains it. I currently maintain RR (v5.8.5 + v6.0.0) so I was thinking about supporting this ROM too as they've just updated all their sources and now have Gerrit setup as well.

    Thoughts?

    Until an official build is released, this is my personal AEX 5.7 build for athene (64 bits). Except for the known camera issues, everything seems to be working fine.

    So these guys are not supporting moto g4 officially as nothing is on there site & it means no room for improvements here.
    Working on it [emoji6][emoji41]
    They are not supporting it officially because there is nobody yet to maintain this ROM on athene properly. From my knowledge, @Jleeblanch is working on a build that he hopes to make official. Maybe he will achieve that, and I am pretty sure he will, considered how good both his RR Nougat and Oreo builds are. So we should hope for the best.
    That is the plan. Currently testing builds, running AEX now myself. Got a couple things to work out before I start releasing any builds and push the commit for official status. AEX's source is currently being worked on as they've been adding in some new features and bug fixes and updates of their own.
    Looking forward to get these video recording and videos calling issues or bugs and remaining gets fixed
    Once I start releasing builds, we will all work those bugs out together. One of the biggest issues we face with our device is the Camera and video recording as we don't have proper Oreo based camera blobs.

    Once I figure out why the auto brightness feature doesn't work, and why there is no navbar on first boot, than I will release an unofficial test build for everyone to use while I push the commits and my sources for official status.
    9
    You should get permission befofe using a custom kernel as prebuilt. Like other ROM builders did.
