AOSP Extended is an AOSP based rom which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended

- VOLTE(Maybe,if since there is no ims crash i think it should just work fine but need some confirmation)
- Although Camera works the interface is still slow,specially transition from back to front & photo to camcorder in stock cam,other app works fine.

->Rom is based on AOSP

-Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuffs are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.

-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.

-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED For N is not out yet. Still in development. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have xposed uninstalled.

-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

-I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
->Provide full info about your problem with logcats and the procedure to reproduce it.

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to build this and keep Redmi 2 development alive.

Coming to VoLTE....I think I can test the ROM out and report back to you. Camera isn't a big deal for me, so I'm gonna install this now and post a review later. Thanks again and hope to see more content from you

Oh I just found it lol. I suggest you should remove underline from the text above saying "Download ROM, Download gapps here". And maybe replace the text "DEVICE NAME" with something like "AOSPExtended 8.1.0 Redmi 2".

Hey sir thank you first of all for such a great ROM for us and your precious time u contribute to the device . I flashed the ROM sir everything works fine camera is great .no lags. but sir mobile data isn't coming idk y m on jio sim right now. Volte showed up for sometime but vanished after sometime .the signal shows up but mobile data doesnt I tried to reboot and do some other stuffs but didn't so as I wanted to let u knw about this. Pls help how to get data . thanks a lot again sir .

Here's the review then:

-> UI has got lags almost everywhere, yes it persists even after you let it "settle down" (feels like GPU libraries are not compatible with 8.1 or something)
-> SIM networks disappear after a minute or two (after the phone boots) and then may or may not come back, I restarted several times and I could reproduce it easily but I captured radio logs and they're attached. Even if networks come back, they keep disappearing sometimes.

Other things seemed fine but I didn't get the time to extensively test it because this is currently my primary phone. I'd stick with Nougat for now.

Been using it for a few hours now
1. Very smooth, In my opinion the AOSP oreo was smooth, and this is even smoother.
2. Everything working, I am receiving calls, so my Mobile Network is definitely working, as it shows. Tested 2G and 3G calls, Haven't subscribed to data.
3. I feel the display is sharper (?), coming from AOSP oreo.
4. I HAVE GOOGLE ASSISTANT ON 1 GB MODEL.
5. The popup menus are different and look very nice
6. Torch quicktile acts weird sometimes.

Don't have anything much to say, I clearly don't experience bugs as others have posted before me

Yes i have same issue for data like this, i can't turn on it. But everything is smooth cool no lag found after second boot. You rock sir @s.sawrav hope we can fix this issue, and thx for your time to make this device great again on track ?
