I feel like this rom brings more brightness :silly: , it's possible?, time ago I've tried to get more editing build.prop with no results

I installed the current rom with micro gaps and more asus 4.0 flashable camera in twrp with a clean install. I have already installed several apps and in the next few days I will test the system instability better, for now it is doing very well in these first few hours of installation. What I really missed was configuring screen capture and screen recording on button shortcuts. If they could add these functions would be very good. Greetings dear friends!

Note about GPS: maybe it will be better to set default NTP_SERVER in /system/etc/gps.conf to pool.ntp.org? I'm in Russia and here asia.pool.ntp.org in gps.conf causes slower GPS start than pool.ntp.org.
Note about Magisk: can't install Magisk 17.1 (using TWRP 3.2.3 after initial setup and reboot and using Magisk Manager) and leave stock root solution.

Also I'm attaching logcat with the same free WiFi issue I see in every Oreo ROM. Don't know if it's bug of Oreo ROMs or something wrong in free WiFi network MT_FREE in Moscow transport, but WiFi works only after reboot and shows "no internet connection" after WiFi turn off/turn until next reboot. I also sent logcat with same issue in AEX5.8 here.

This for magisk issue..
Dont install any root at first..
Then in developer setting turn on inbuilt root..
Install latest magisk directly on latest magisk app..
Its work fine on me

I'm without magisk, last build can be installed normally with manager, but don't really fix boot issue, I'm getting less issues without it

I've tested magisk 17.1, found reboot issue and removed it (back to stock root). In Magisk I need only adblocking module so set AdAway for it.

Great ROM, some bugs:

1. Device will not shutdown even when tried immediately after clean install. Although the screen appears to be black the device hangs and never fully shuts down. To confirm these just watch the charging LED when giving the shudown command.
2. Unreliable reboot process - may hang sometimes e.g. when attempting to restart from the password entering screen of an encrypted device)

When you "clean flashed" - did you also flash magisk 17.1 or any newer magisk than v16.0?

When I clean flashed, I did the following things:

- Flashed the latest (build number 21.40.1220.2196) ASUS bootloader (sbl1, aboot, tz, hyp, rpm) via fastboot.
- Rebooted into TWRP recovery version 3.2.2-0
- Formatted the data partition
- Wiped the cache, ASDF partitions
- Installed the latest crDroid ROM
- Rebooted into system

Shutdown and reboot issues were present with the built-in root both turned off and turned on. No Magisk root was applied at this stage.

On another note, two steps after installing the ROM may be required for better performance:

1. Copy the latest 8916_volte_modem and 8939_volte_modem folders - extracted from the official ASUS 21.40.1220.2196 firmware image - to /system/etc/firmware
Reboot and enjoy the latest (and greatest) VoLTE baseband from ASUS.
2. Edit the gps.conf file to optimize gps functionality in your area.

Thanks for the update. ROM works well, but more laggy and has some memory issues (30/08 build has at least 400-500MB RAM free, this build in same cases has 250-350MB RAM free and sometimes it causes UI unaccessible and need reset with long press power button until reboot).
My installation of this version is upgrade (wiping system, dalvik and cache and flashing rom&gapps, keeping data from previous build).

Also, here is logcats of my wifi issue: when I connect to free Wi-Fi of Moscow Transport MT_FREE, first it can't register in network, but works after reboot. Here is 2 zips: one from build 30/08 with logcats after Wi-Fi doesn't work and after reboot and Wi-Fi works well, and second is from build 12/09 with logcats from same cases. Hope it can be fixed.

it says error device, this device is z00l. i tried other roms but the only rom that works perfectly for me is the lineage os cm14 build.
