I executed a "Format Data" from my recovery and then wiped all the partitions. Had no issues or error messages while installing the rom, but once it boots, I noted that the wifi doesn't work. It can detect nearby APs/hotspots/networks, it shows the SSID and asks for password, but the device never gets IP address.

When trying to connect to any network (protected or unprotected), the system shows the "obtaining IP address" message under the network's SSID. After a few seconds all the networks appear as "out of range" for like 10 seconds, and then the "obtaining IP address" message returns. This cycle never ends.

Tried excecuting a "Format Data" and a "Factory Reset" again after detecting this problem without success. So, I think this latest build is broken and should be avoided. Is anyone else having this problem?

I don't have a single problem with this build. Have you updated the firmware? I´m using 953_GEN_PACK-1.152683.0.158868.2 radio.

You also can try to flash Dark Ages Cuarto 3.18.124 kernel, I'm gonna make this change since I really don't like Zucc non-treble kernel.

Flashed latest developer fastboot rom with MiFlash and tried again without success. No issues with other oreo ROMS (Pixel Experience, crDroid, MIUI variants). Maybe a later build will fix the problem.

I encountered something similar in the past too
The problem appeared when I selected only 4G band and the Volte didn't work properly. The phone tries to switch to 3g but it can't do it so it gives you "call ended". To solve the problem I selected the global mode or one which included 2g 3g 4g
So try to see if volte is selected and if the band is only 4g mode
