can you also check if there is a file in /cache called logcat_xxxxxx.txt after reboot?
/cache has only "lost+found" and "recovery" folders. Inside recovery there are 2 log files, I attach them, maybe they're helpful.
Since I wiped and installed LOS 16 again, I attach the latest kmsg log, too.
You have to give step by step instructions on how to flush a boot image and how to revert back to the original.

Ok, sorry for delay. last_kmsg log is attached. /cache folder still doesn't have any log file.
There was progress this time, the LOS animated logo was on screen for a minute, then black screen, then reboot.
Logs are attached.

- Updated to Android 8.1.0_r52 with December Security Patches.
- Upstream updates and fixes.
- Kernel updates: sdcardfs update to stable, security patches.
- Fixed Power HAL issues.
- KeyStore, GNSS HAL updates. (fixes lockscreen? / fixes GPS?)
- Wi-Fi might be broken on this build. (untested)
[*]FIRST BOOT will end up with a REBOOT itself, SECOND BOOT will be all fine.

but i'm back, retired from military LOL, so that i can start to work on this.
unfortunately it's still not booting and need to find out why.
anyway, it's bumped to LineageOS 15.1 which is Android Oreo 8.1,
