Do you guys want me to bump Android version and start doing unofficial builds or are you all pretty happy with official weeklies?
I thought you'd never ask... YES !Do you guys want me to bump Android version and start doing unofficial builds or are you all pretty happy with official weeklies?
I always had sim/data problems with the official one. Currently using AOSIP which is a fantastic Rom but missing the smoothness of Lineage when it properly works. I would definitely give it a shot of your unofficial build.Do you guys want me to bump Android version and start doing unofficial builds or are you all pretty happy with official weeklies?
Hi
Actually I haven't attempted an OS change since if anything goes wrong I'd have no way to transfer files.. but if I can be sure it's an hardware issue then I can get the port replaced..
Did u see my point on how an OTG cable xonnect d to the phone is detected on the phone terminal lsusb command ? How can this be ?
This is probably a stupid question . I am on the Unofficia build (this thread). and unofficial ones do not auto update right ? Or is there a way to do that ?
I was planning to try pixel exp on pie but due to the USB issues my phone is having (possibly hardware) am a little wary to try a switch ch withiut a way to revert of things go wrong..
I would love to have updated unofficial builds.. to update I just flash over the previous one right ? Is there early update guide for unofficial builds that someone can point me to please ?
Official lineage supports OTA. You still have to have latest TWRP installed though. There are lines that transfers data and charge your phone. Your jack has problem. I don't know much hardware but your jack is faulty. And connection through terminal of your OTG may just be the way how that terminal respond if it receives even a single signal from the jack but that doesn't mean it's not faulty. I had similar problem (didn't check the Iusb command though) but nothing was working. It was charging sometimes not and sometimes there was no response at all. No response from the PC also. And then I brought my phone to the service centers. They vhecked my charger and cable and they were working fine. But they said the the component that transmit the dtaat signal is damaged. So they changed the whole jack. And now it's fine

Unofficial and Official both don't support OTA. You will have to manually flash it through TWRP.
And update won't require to clean flash over previous version/build until the Dev say so.

It's not a real OTA.. You just download new version automatically and dirty flash it.. They are not incremental updates. Shreesha's ASOiP also has it..
Actually they are real OTAs
Also please read up on what incremental OTAs are before using the word so freely
LOL. Anup the "I know it all" brat is back.
I know what Over The Air updates are. But unlike you I don't get all technical in these threads..
Go back to your monolog of a thread and shut it.
Ignoring all you said. If you were to actually know about them why don't you know the difference between an incremental OTA and a full OTA?
Is still an OTA. You don't have to manually boot into recovery to flash it. I never said anything about incremental. It's not a real OTA.. You just download new version automatically and dirty flash it.. They are not incremental updates. Shreesha's ASOiP also has it..

I've never had a faster phone even when op2 was brand new. Thank you for the hard work and please keep supporting our community (but I think soon or later we are all close to replace our device).Do you guys want me to bump Android version and start doing unofficial builds or are you all pretty happy with official weeklies?
