Thank you Subham for your great work in bringing Oreo LOS to the P2.

Your efforts are most appreciated.

I downloaded the ROM zip along with Gapps and attempted to install it on my phone yesterday.

I've already installed TWRP 3.2.1 on my phone and my stock ROM was on S251.

I boot into recovery and did a wipe to clean up the phone.

After this, whenever I launch the Zip file installation for the ROM, the screen proceeds but gets stuck at the "patching system image unconditionally", after which there is no progress. It doesn't proceed to Gapps installation either.

I checked the MD5 of the zip and and it shows exact match, so the file was downloaded completely.

Please advise on where I could be going wrong.

I tried testing with another Oreo ROM from here, but that got stuck in the "flashing kernel" stage.

Finally, I had to reinstall the 7.0 S251 stock rom to get my phone working again.

Maybe the zips you are downloading are incomplete downloads or i would say wait for 10 mins atleast to let it flash

You cannot disable it from settings. You need to start all over. Including wiping all partitions to remove the encryption data.

You need to be sure that you start over. With that I mean not only reflash the ROM. Recreate the partitions also because the encryption data is saved on the partitions.

Same here. I use this feature a lot and I can't get it to work at all.

Found a new bug: once memorized, the fingerprints can't be deleted.
